Inspirational Songs and Music: Which ones inspire you and why?

I relatively recently found the power of music and it's importance to humanity. I grew up in a very culturally stiffing place and I wasn't allowed to explore to see what I truly liked and I ended up swearing off music, hating music. Once I got out of that place, I started to see the true wonders of music. The power behind the notes are amazing. Music has the power to move us in ways the best speakers cannot.

I figure that this would be a great thread to share the songs and music that inspire us. I'll start.

This song inspired me to move on after I gave up on life and to keep on trying. Inspired me to move forward, despite how much it hurt at the time to move forward. It helps me to never give up.

I'm having trouble thinking of any songs that "really" inspired me. Most of my inspirations seem to come from artwork / writers / films / real life people.

I get EMOTIONAL about music, but not necessarily MOTIVATED. *ponders* (there has got to be something though with all my fanatical music listening (in the past))

Seriously. This concept helps put things into perspective, not that I didn't get this same idea from 10 different inputs.

Really, hiding for fear of rudeness sucks.

Despite being a total Pariah and seemingly universally disliked , MJ's Man In The Mirror message the is perfect, if not the messenger.

One of the most inspiring songs ive heard lately was played at the perfect time, I just lost a few friends, i was exhausted, scared, but pissed off to no ends, and was in no way going to back down, but i just needed something to keep me going for 18 more hours. I just downloaded a few new songs on my ipod before I left, and while i was eating my MRE I hit shuffle on my Touch, and Combichrist "Bottle of Pain" came on. Ive never been the same since, i live by tha song.

The lyrics are a little off but if you listen you can hear whats really being said.

This is one of my favorite Post-rock songs and through the beginning of it has a Cure-vibe going on. I find it to be inspiring, depressing, and nostalgic. Its definitely an introvert's song and meant for an empty dancefloor, and empty places in general.
