I used to think "none of the above" (in years past) but really not participating basicily means, if I do nothing, "I voted for whoever wins". Which Is probably even less desireable.

So either I think "which of these two (in any national presidental election) would screw things up the least? or, if I think they are both so terrible that I can't stand it, vote for a third party candidate, in the hope that one day enough people will do it so we will erode the 2 party system.

i'm still amazed that anyone thinks the president can do shit on his own. he's not really much more than a figurehead.

pretty much... of course if we keep getting CZARS that can act outside of the laws we are all hosed anyways... I like the whole constitutionalist mentality.....

Just a youtube video from a pissed-off veteran. Everyone says support the troops, but we'll see how they vote, since most of the troops are supporting Ron Paul.

There are too may sheep voters unwilling to ..well not be sheep! It pisses me off that people are so freaken stupid that they are willing to be lead around by the sheep herders (AKA the demarcates and the republican party) instead of supporting someone who can make a real difference in this country!

RON PAUL !

For awhile while Obama was in office I started to wonder if America could run another way than Libertarianism, but the indefinite detention bill signed into law for anyone simply deemed a terrorist, the way Bradley Manning has been treated for showing the army killing journalists and children, the time it took to pull out of one of the wars, the bloodlust for Julian Assange without any proof that he's put anyone in harm; Julian Assange's, Bradley Manning, and Kim Dotcom's unconstitutional imprisonment, the consistent abuses of citizens by TSA agents, the centralized banking that holds down the lower and middle class, the war-profiteering foreign policies that completely ignore the concept of blowback, and the massive spying by the NSA on American citizens.. have convinced me that big government is in itself given over to terrorist ideals regardless of whoever is behind what. And considering Ron Paul both Conservative and Libertarian, I'll keep voting Libertarian for whatever its worth.

I think Obama meant well coming into office, and he has done a lot if good. The majority of the bad choices he has made came after the Tea Party won so much of Congress and started fillabusting everything. The problem isn't Obama, it is a system that is completely out of his favor or the favor of public interest at all. In order to put through one useful policy you have to give up on ten others, vote for five you hte, and let someone tack something awful on to the one that does get through. It is a neo-con world right now.

I personally am in favor of mass voting boycott, no matter who winds up in office the government simply cannot ct in a legitimately representative way anymore. Best case scenario is you get someone who slows things down. We are in a situation where the Right is a clear wrong choice, the Left is a bandaid that is way too small, and Independents are not going to be able to do anything either.

^ hell, even Fox News.com called him deceptive after last night's speech, and if his nonstop lies were too much for THEM to take...

Yeah, I'm voting Obama. After all the blatantly racist horseshit hurled at Hispanics (of which I am one) by the GOP these last two presidential election cycles, I'll never even consider voting for a Republican candidate for anything ever again...and I'm going to harbor at least a bit of suspicion of anyone who tells me that they do. Which sucks, 'cause there's a few that I consider friends.

Yeah I hear ya.

In other social media, every time I even mention anything about racism in the GOP my conservative friends have a fit and jump down my throat for playing the "race card"...

    • So I just got back from Happy Endings and I saw @DJ Saintthere.  He told me that after I got kicked out of High Dive that later on Mike also attacked him, and Mike and his crew were also kicked out.  Then we talked about the scene and possible upcoming gigs.  I hope something comes his way soon, as well as mine too.  With the current economy I think more club owners will be hungry to try more things like goth/industrial/other alternative nights.  I've also heard that GenZ isn't online dating and is actually going out into the world to meet people which may also help business owners, though they aren't drinking which doesn't really help much.  I think more places are going to need to start serving food and mocktails to make up the difference. Then Mike showed up at Happy Endings which I thought was highly likely because I hadn't seen him there in a while, and @DJ Aaron Hingst,@elektrosonik, and his husband Tim were all there too.  He did something else I wasn't expecting...  Which was he actually shook my hand and said it was good to see me, which caught me a little off guard.  He didn't apologize for anything but it's a start I think.  I told him I was sorry to hear about @djpleasurekitten's passing (which I was/am.  Despite the rift that ended up existing between us we were friends at one point.) So maybe he's moving on finally?  If so then I'm glad.  I'm still not sure if I'll ever go back, but it is at least a start, and it's nice to actually see he's trying to bury the hatchet in something other than my skull.
    • Stargate Universe, which everyone said sucked but I'm actually enjoying it? Like there are less jokes, but lots of dark humor, and people might actually die rather than have 10ft thick plot armor?  Yes please more of this!
    • Failbook is blocked so I can't see any of the info. "Oh you don't need to login to view!"
