RON PAUL!!

He seemed like a cool choice at first, but once you look into ALL of his issues, hes a nut. He just gets the "vote for me is a vote for weed" vote. Which I'm all for, but not at that high of a cost.

I like the libritarian bent, but him in particular would be bad. Need a more realistic (and reality based) candidate.

i'm still amazed that anyone thinks the president can do shit on his own. he's not really much more than a figurehead.

They can pick and win political battles no single other American could. True the ship is so gigantic that the impact a president can have is is minimized (but that was the plan even at the constitutional convention). Despite being sort of "nerfed" (right from the start 200+ years ago) the US president is still the most powerful human on the planet, figurehead and all. The afordable care act? Goood or bad that thing is MASSIVE, and if obama wasn't behind it it would have had no chance, thats a huge deal. War in afganinistan? If he said we are out, we'd be out, not that that is good or bad either, but that is some serious power.

I do agree that people put to much stock in what "The presidient" did or didn't do, its a huge clanging machine (and not just a US machine) not particularly under anyones control.

The real problem with the whole thing is you really have to "study" the whole process, the structure, AND the cadidates to make an informed decision (and not just for the presidency) and very few pepople do if if your inclined to do so, its a big undertaking. Of my lets call it "real life interactions" I think I'm probably the most politically educated, and that is saying nothing, since im near clueless, but at least I know what it is I'm clueless about.

"If you rearrange the letters in "Obama is the Antichrist" you get "abase acorn hi tit smith". I don't know about you, but I'm voting tit smith 2012."

I'm curious what these issues are for you. No offense but to me this pothead argument is as childish as congress. My stance and argument for a lot of these issues is as a calculated gambler because too much comfort always comes at a price.

I think that the middle class needs control of the private market for a country to not be shitty, which is why I'm voting for Ron Paul, because with the right legislation that control can happen sooner. I suppose Ron Paul vs. Obama is risk vs. comfort, but risk equals the bigger reward. And it is most likely no matter what, Obama will win.

The Obama Administration comes across as practicing little oversight over US military and intelligence, and while I will always like the idea of aiding people, this giant anti-terror complex without much of a terrorist threat is a downside of big government.

Remember voting for the lesser evil is still a vote for evil.

I have said it once and I'll say it again.

The two party system works like this...

The give you a left hand full of shit and a right hand full of shit and say "Sniff them and pick the one that stinks the least" and people do exactly that.

Then typically 8 years later they give you two more pieces of shit that stink worse than the one you absolutely refused 8 year prior.

Here what flips me out about this election. People who claim to be liberals are still going to vote for Obama.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

The patriot act isn't liberal.

The 2012 NDAA is not only anti constitutional but anti liberal.

Starting more wars isn't liberal unless you look at it like "Liberally starting wars."

Expanding Guantanamo isn't liberal.

Assuming the right to kill citizens that without trial have been proclaimed terrorists isn't liberal.

Making it illegal to protest federal officials “visiting any facility” who have Secret Service protection isn't liberal.

Calling torture, pain compliance in order to keep torture legal isn't liberal.

Maybe I am wrong and liberals don't stand for social justice anymore they just lean on "willing to discard traditional values" including their own at a whim.

Or maybe the "Liberals" that want Obama in again aren't liberals at at all, because Obama sure looks like a Authoritarians wet dream. I mean in less than 4 years he has succeeded in more than doubling the leading 2 termers executive orders and both of them had so many that they can only be called The Dictators of the Imperial United States of America Inc.

Since Ron Paul is trying to retire from politics, I've changed my mind. To elaborate my position:

Mitt: am I pretty ?

Obama: NO

Mitt: do u want me to be with you forever ?

Obama: NO

Mitt: Do u like me ?

Obama: NO

Mitt: would u cry if I walked away ?

Obama: NO

Obama grabbed her arm and said

Obama: I don't want to be with you forever ....... I need you forever , I

don't like you I LOVE YOU !! , i wouldn't cry if you walked away.........

I would DIE !!

(Obama whispers) stay with my foreign policy..

(Mitt whispers) I will...

Stop the madness. Vote for Gary Johnson.

If you don't post this into 5 other comments..... You will have

relationship problems for the next 4 years

sounds like this gary johnson is the most well-known non-republicrat running now, so if i manage to get out & vote, it'll be for him.

tell the politicians KNOW you're sick of their bullshit & vote for the most popular 3rd party/independant candidate you can find. there's no chance they'll win, but it'll send a strong message!

i wish i was richard pryor in "brewster's millions", because that's exactly what i'd do next election - write in candidacy for "NONE OF THE ABOVE!"
