I sat in the corner of purgatory for 2 hours...Maybe I should have held a sign over my head:

thats me slackin off, just have been feeling like ass perpetually for like 2 months. Should be at least 3 people there at all times I try to drag em kickin and screaming if i have to. In ye olden days you couldnt walk through the "DGN area" and not know you were there, just takes a lot of effort to "rebuild the crowd" after its died. (did this re-building thing like 5 times now) Just takes persistence/consistency with even just 1 person being there every week (and posting about it) I just have to find some energy from somewhere.

After this past Saturday, I think I just became a CC DGN Monster.

I LOVE THIS.

My only regret was that I was too shy to socialize with anyone so I danced basically with my head down the entire 90 minutes.

My mother likes when I push myself to break out of my box.

I believe this weekend should be way better.

Looking forward to it.

You just have no idea what this creation you have made is doing for me.

Dude...

After this past Saturday, I think I just became a CC DGN Monster.

I LOVE THIS.

hehe honestly a lot of us have had that feeling, i just feel off the wagon due to health nonsense (well and the health nonsense making me broke doesnt help) but i'm still tryin.

I slacked off last weekend too. I was supposed to go out Saturday, but I passed out after a very long day of running errands. Kind of sucks because I have obligations for the next few Saturdays. A couple of weddings, a birthday party at a titty bar and Canadian Thanksgiving means it will be hard for me to make it out for a bit.

I had the coolest aftermath report for October 6 at CC.

First off, I got there later than ever for me (1am Sunday morning).

Then I got a visiting English Man to dance on the floor (I promoted DGN but forgot to give him a card).

I got so hung up in the music that I ended up being the last one on the floor.

I looked up just as this tall dude was shaking my hand and gave me a Terror Network CD.

Too Cool!

I had danced until 4:14 am by the time people were checking on my whereabouts.

That was the most fun at CC to date.

I look forward to hanging out with others this weekend too...

I went to CC for joshthe007,s birthday.

I must admit, I did go out and dance, but I spent the first hour by the door.

I guess no one saw the black girl in the black and white striped hat, striped socks and striped arm warmers.

Well, I suppose I was hard to see in the dark.

The main thing that bothered me about my time there this past weekend was the amount of sex acts that were happening on the floor.

One lap dance literally took place on the lower floor area of the stage.

Other couples spent most of their time trying to get into each others clothes while still "dancing"...

I kept thinking to myself, "Did I miss the memo on City Club Sex Night at the Leland?"

I was relieved to finally turn around and find that once again, I was the last person dancing on the floor around 4am.

I could handle that.

Since I don't drink and I don't smoke, the only thing I have at City Club is dancing because conversing is basically out of the question (can't hear what's being said).

For the most part, I think the fun is over, it's basically for the exercise now, but I may have to look into other locations for that...

Went to CC for Halloween for the first time.

I was happy to meet Shaun, that was fun.

The only unfortunate part is my Obi (Kimono mid tie) and Geta style shoes kept dancing to a minimum.

After several disturbances and brief altercations, some of the guess I was with had to leave.

I decided I would force myself to stay...and this time I would keep my head up so I could see people around me.

I am glad I did because I couldn't have scripted this stuff if I tried before tonight.

First, 3 girls on the dance floor thought I was a real geisha and one tried to speak to me in Japanese, but she only knew "thank you".

A friend of Shaun's had brought her boyfriend and he suddenly butt danced me right onto the wooden bench behind me so I had to shove him off.

Several people who saw this tried to come to my aid but didn't know if I spoke English so they mostly pointed at the guy shouting what he did to me.

After he left with Shaun and friends, I worked my way to the end of the bench towards the stage and watched the costumes and dancers for the rest of the night.

I was kinda sorta dancing with a smile on my face watching the organized madness, when, it started...

Couple by couple, group by group, and individuals alike began working their way over to me one set at a time.

People started dancing for me!

I had private light shows, interpretive dance couples and individuals, swing couples, a play sword vs. dagger fight, and the pier de resistance: a gentleman and his madame dancing the night away in the center of the room, being sure to stay in the main spotlight.

It was so surreal and totally awesome.

As the night went on, slowly, one by one and couple by couple they began to leave the dance floor until I alone was left.

At that point I danced a stylized kata to the last 2 remaining songs and then departed myself.

Although the other stuff, I will not mention, still took place, the individualized distractions made the overall experience rather fairytale like.

It felt like the princes's court scene from "The Nutcracker Suite"

I'm sorry about that, I somehow missed it or I would have dragged him off you . We ended up leaving because she got into a fight and got thrown out. Think I'm gonna leave them at home next time and just do my usual sober/solo run. It seems to me more fun (and less drama) that way. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your night though and it was fun meeting you.

Same, I'm usually in just a black shirt of some kind and dark jeans. Oh and I almost forgot, finally met Pleasure Katzen, apparently I won best costume last night and get to go see Assemblage 23 next Tuesday.
