TronRP
My household grew up on comic books, but it wasn't until a day at Detroit Metro Airport that I found this very issue and fell in love with this character... We owned comic books from just about every era of Superhero and Supervillain that was around during those days, but "Warlock and the Infinity Watch" captured my imagination. I suppose I was finally old enough to get what comic books were about by that time. I'm also a big fan of the look of "Doctor Strange" Grew up seeing him and looking at his picture in comic books, but couldn't tell you a thing about his story line besides the fact that his powers looked cool, he met Spider Man and he had his own TV movie and cartoon series for a minute... And then there's Colleen Doran and "A Distant Soil" I was introduced to her comic books during the mid 90's and fell in love with her artwork and storytelling. Also about that same time, family and friends were into "Elf Quest" In my head I thought, "Wow, that's some deep story line for such cute little critters..." To me, it was like Fraggle Rock meets Conan the Barbarian surviving in Middle Earth... As for favorites, definitely the conflicted soul that is Adam Warlock himself. Before I started reading the aforementioned comic book series, good and evil - right and wrong, had always been black and white...he was the first "shades of gray" character I had ever been introduced to as well as the very first comic book I had the privilege of picking myself...for me, that was big! Adam Warlock Just had to edit this into the post... Edited March 25, 2013 by TronRP
TronRP
As for favorite Superhero...for me, hands down: Kurt Wagner a.k.a. Nightcrawler I saw him once in an X-men comic book when I was about 7 and had to know more. I used to go to sleep to bed stories about Nightcrawler's adventures as an X-Men... Not too fond of the commercialism associated with his character now, but I will always love the original dubbed by Wolverine as "Elf"
TronRP
Favorite Bag Guy Magnus Lee a.k.a. Magneto http://youtu.be/OcNg-rRdmCA Originally, this character's story line changed with the times until he was given an official back story in issue #150 of Uncanny X-Men where it is revealed that he was a survivor of the Holocaust. I was confused about the name I had grown up hearing so I researched it and came up with other names he was known by: Birth Name: Max Eisenhardt Notable aliases Magnus,[2] Erik Lehnsherr,[3] White King[4] (later Grey King[5]) of the Hellfire Club, Michael Xavier,[6] Erik the Red,[7] White Pilgrim, The Creator
prick
Favorite comic book would have to be Michael Stackpoles Rouge Squadron from Dark Horse. Favorite Super hero would be Green Arrow although I don't like how they recently revamped him to be more like the t.v. show. Favorite Marvel super hero would be DareDevil. Favorite bad guys would be Gorilla Grodd from D.C. and Magnetto from Marvel.
Troy Spiral (13)
My standout favorites are/were the B&W Aliens series by Dark Horse, Cerebus by Dave Sim, Neil Gaiman's run on Sandman, Elektra Assassin and The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller and I continue to recommend them right up there with good novels. But back when I was a wee I was addicted to the late 80s-90s X-Men. I'd be very hard pressed to pick a single favorite super hero or villain. I guess if forced, Either Batman or Jean Grey's various incarnations over the years. Villains hrmm.... I too really was fascinated by Magneto , but for some reason I'm not sure I ever thought of him as a favorite. But, now pondering it more I'm not sure why not. Same thing goes for the gorilla, although I do remember liking him when Art Adams was doing the artwork for him.... I'm at a loss villains wise. Green Goblin? Posion Ivy? Hareliquin? The Joker? I did have a crush on The White Queen back in the day and whenever Mxyzptlk showed up in superman I knew we were in for some good times.
Class-Punk
When I think of comic book villains I think of Venom and Carnage. Edited March 27, 2013 by Class-Punk
EagleRose
My original favorite superhero was Spiderman. My favorite villain was the Joker, as sick, twisted, and sadistic as they come (especially the version of him voiced by Mark Hamil in the animated television series).
