I stumbled upon this at random, and after looking at this thread it was the closest thing I found in my net explorations that qualified i thought. Nightcore is something i straight never heard of til few days ago.

Actually I just spent a lot of time checking this Nightcore thread out and its intriguing somewhat tho in my absence from the world I've not heard of it before there is some of this that seems like kickass stuff now that i look into all these posts. At least 51% of it or more jives with my tastes somehow

Because anyone with the right equipment can do a NIGHTCORE, I try to post the better version of releases. NIGHTCORE has been mistaken for Trance, but the major difference is NIGHTCORE is a sped up version of already released songs to give it the sound of an anime girl singing it or released music mixed with a NIGHTCORE sound. They generally have a duration of only about 2 to 3 minutes. Also, If you have a favorite song, you can actually request it to be NIGHTCORED by some really good uber fans...if it hasn't already been NIGHTCORED.

So far, my favorite NIGHTCORED artists are:

Linkin Park

Breaking Benjamin

Within Temptation

(however, in my opinion, I have yet to hear a jacked up Linkin Park NIGHTCORE which I find amazing :hrhr: )

I just had the side thought during work today that I already have all the tech to do that and more... then all day I kept hearing country and classic rock over the electrician's radio and thought "I wonder what that would sound like nightcored?!" Then I thought of taking my old friends horrorcore he makes and nightcoring it then calling it nightcorrer or horrornightcore. I should really bring my synths and sequencers on the road with me, I could have a blast

To be honest, your mixing comment made me think of the two NIGHTCORE versions of Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" that I liked. The first one is a regular NIGHTCORE. The second one is a NIGHTCORE Dance Mix.

Just for comparison of course...see next 2 postings

I too am new to this. But find it strangly addicting. I don't know if I should be worried or just go with it. ;)

Also found "nightstep". As I have gotten into listening to some dubstep (most I don't like but if it's interesting can be quite fun). I've kinda really been digging the nightstep stuff. Some it gets so spazzed out. :)

To be honest, I thought this would be a one show thread because I know how particular people can be about their music and NIGHTCORE is not for everyone due to it's sound. I must say I am happy to have been able to introduce something new to the DGN forum
