My dating profile...for shit's and giggles

Recommended Posts

I dabble in these stupid dating sites just because they are kind of funny to me, but sometimes I will meet someone if they seem interesting or something, but lately I really don't care, and honestly I made this profile and I feel like an ass for doing it...should I just delete it...I am going to post it, am I being too brash? I think I realize if I continue to, well be myself, I will be single for the rest of my life and although I don't have time for a relationship right now...I do eventually want a life with someone again, (sigh)

Anyway, here it is:

"My name is Mandi and most of you can't handle me. No, I am not being narcissistic nor am I being shallow. Why? Because I am, extremely independent, strong, but uber sensitive..I am not afraid of emotions..crazy? Sure, why, the hell not? As a female I am automatically classified in that category. I also cannot stand the guessing game that people play with one another. Tell me from the start what your intentions are...don't lie...I don't care if it's just looking for a friend, I may not agree, but I have the right to know the truth so I can decide if I am down for the ride..I mean, why waste both of our times? Oh, and do not try and play me..and I know I am not the only one, either..so don't run that on me, please..If I meet you on a dating site..you can say all the sweet, romantic things you want to me via IM or text, but it's the same thing you probably said to all the girls you talk to... so I know I am not special...I may go along with your game and try and humor you for awhile because I think you are a jackass but I have both a college and a street education..I know the tricks....so here is the challenge: I been through alot and overcame it all alone, I am independent and very strong, I have bad luck with men most likely because I have some grief and loss issues with men in my life (I am being up front, deal with it) all I ask is that one guy in this world prove me wrong.....show me that you are not all generic. I had a guy tell me that all men will cheat if they see something more attractive no matter if they are married or in a relationship or not...because that's how they are wired...I didn't want to believe it but the older I get, the less hopeful I am in finding someone else that "get's this drift"....and yes...I just semi-quoted lyrics from an Alanis Morrisette song."

I Love It!!!

I actually posted something akin to yours when I used to be on eHarmony. Unfortunately, my taste in a significant other was just a tad bit too alternative for the straight lace society types and I ALWAYS ended up scaring them away.

Well the guys that message me, I really pray are not representative of what I have to choose from if they are I am going to find a girlfriend and learn to like it, I suppose..so technically, I will still be a cat lady...This one starts messaging me from NYC, than this other one seems cool, he starts his line off " I am a Gemini and I need a hug"...I thought it was cute, but he has baby mamma stuff going on, um, than he texts me and asked me how big my tits were and, of course, you know me, Tron so therefore, you know what question to him I would follow up with immediately....and I got my answer....without hesitation.......How fucking classic.

Hey, well...you know :hrhr:

As I said in my profile all I want is one guy to prove me wrong...that they are not all generic...It has yet to happen...and I go through spurts where I date, date, date, than I hate, hate, hate.... At this point It's just game time. I know the shit they talk, the games they play. I am tired of being disappointed by little boys that are not even on my level, can't get on my level, and cannot comprehend the extend of how hard I worked to get from as low as I came from to what I am inside and what I am in the process of achieving....my coworkers and I talk about dating and stuff all the time and she said something to me that no one has ever pointed out because I come off as so emotional and silly all the time, but she was asking me about the guys I dated and I told her and she was shocked and said " but you are smart and an intellectual, why would you date someone who was like, that"....she just made me feel like I wasn't just some worthless whore I guess..lol. It felt nice.

You need to date someone in the alternative scene. Not necessarily to the extent of some we know, but those who are open to it. They have better insight on life, relationships and things in general. Makes having conversations enlightening :wink

(It's the "run of the mill" that kills things)

I can't meet anyone in the scene, there is a certain type of guy in the scene I am attracted to and they barely are in the scene it seems like, and most the other guys I have meet are kind of "out of there fucking hook up"...shit, I know I am crazy but these muthafuckers I meet done lost their mind for real.

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.
