Thrift shops in West Michigan stink. No selection at all.

I find the ones in and around Detroit are great. I picked up three velvet dresses for under $25, took me about 15 min. to find. They had lots of mens clothes too.

For clothes and music stores in W MI they indeed do suck. But we have Hot Topic in the malls.

Thrift stores to be sure. Check out the clearance racks at your local department stores as well (Target, Meijer, etc.) Also, inquire as to what days they mark down which departments so you know when to look for certain items.

eBay. Some of my favorite sellers are Holyclothing, TwinkleTwinkleLittleStars, Curvy Queen Couture, Rhonda's Fashions, Mad Foxes, & that woman who sells all the cool Doc Marten's.

The only brick & mortar stores where I buy clothes on a regular basis are Value City & Target. I like Ashley Stewart, but they don't have any up here.
