I'm working on upgrading the board software (you can see the current version at the bottom of the board IP.Board 3.4.6, which is quite old, which is an expired licence but in the past it was quite costly to upgrade due to having to buy a "yearly licence" but they have since lowered the price it is more feasible now , (we could have done it before but it would have left little "buffer money" if anything went wrong).

Also this means we have to switch from our current web host to Invision Power Services (the company that makes the software) so that will take a little while due to them currently having a bit of a back log and also changing of the domain settings (detroitgothic.net detroitgothic.com).

What does all that techno babble mean? Essentially over the next week or two the board might look a bit odd or go offline briefly if there are any hiccups (hopefully this latter part won't be an issue).

The new software is more Mobile Device, media (pictures especially) friendly and more user friendly.

I'll be working on it actively but there are several things I have to wait for on the company(s) ends which may take awhile. If things go well it may take a week, if they go slow it may take 2 weeks from the estimates I've read.

Thanks to the generous donations by a few key people that keep this board running!

well the back-end software part is done, strangely enough it managed not to "break" hardly anything.

EagleRose I was thinking about you in particular and that feature, some crazy how it still doesn't work correctly on the mobile version. Rather than bang my head over it, ill just put i n a ticket to the company and smack them if they give me some BS response

Invision Power Services
Troy Crayson,

Mark Higgins has replied to your support request.

Hello.

In version 3.x attachments can't be made with mobile devices, I'm afraid. But in the upcoming version 4, which will have a fully responsive skin, those will be possible.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Thank you.

Mark Higgins
