Troy Spiral (13)
Some guy swerved and hit me (not really hard) but was driving to cut me off. Then i turned to avoid it and the tap from his car spun me out and slammed me right into the guard rail. The airbags deployed (oddly enough they don't hurt at all just a massive gunsmoke smell). Ruined my glasses (which I have no way to replace the $150+ proposition right there) which is scary enough since i get major headaches if i go like a day without them) at least the broken glass shards missed my eye. The car is probably going to be a total loss and we all know thats not enough money to get a new (used) car. Ugh (old POS 96 lincoln town car) $400 dollar deductible which makes it worse being on a fixed (joke) income. At least the car was still drivable temporarily to get to my destination to look after my GF who was having surgury (which ended up being fine and did need as much surgery as we thought. At least made me fell helpful/useful. Might be with no car car soon. I was doing ok with the depression / PTSD but this.. ugh. /starts cuttin. *tries to make like the little engine that could*

Sending you: And remember: Interesting, usually the links take you to a specific post in a thread if you use the post number as the link, however, the link I used keeps linking to the main thread. I was trying to reference post # 4...wonder what happened... Edited February 16, 2015 by TronRP
kat (1)
Hugs, I'm sorry, look at it as a setback but don't let it foil your recovery. You are doing so well it seems emotionally. Keep it up, positive thoughts, positive vibes..........you can handle this.
Troy Spiral (13)
Thank you for the kind words. Waiting for the insurance to tell me what miniscule amount they are going to give me for the car. Pretty sure its next to nothing since even in top condition the car isn't worth much and there is a 400 dollar deductable. For some reason the prospect of having no vehicle at all is giving me a doomsday feeling. Been really trying to fight the depression. My "just suck it up" system sure isn't working. Troy Spiral (13)
Well they offered me (after negotiations) $2600 , which is amazing for a 96 Town car. Not that looking at used cars can I find anything other than semi junkers. $4999 seems to be the cutoff for a 'good' used car. Not that I have seen a dime from the insurance yet, nor do I have any extra money (my bills slightly exceed my income) but I feel at least a bit less depressed for some reason.
