Reasonable Advice

Recommended Posts

In two weeks, I'm going before the Department of Corrections up in Denver for oral boards. I'm praying to god that it will work out in my favor. I really am. For the past 6 months, my main full time job has been driving for Lyft. Their competitor, Uber, I can't get on with - they're very stringent in who they bring on board as a driver. So, having experienced the unpleasant situation of driving for a company that doesn't appear to try to advertise itself in a smaller market...and Detroit's market from what I am told by drivers up there is just as poor as Colorado Springs...for the love of god, people, don't get into something like Lyft or Uber if you're in a place like Detroit or even Colorado Springs. It's simply not worth it - the fare cuts they made went to the bone, in a sense, and it's hurt a lot of potential for making decent money. On a good night, I'm lucky if I make $60 in my area. If any of you guys sign up to be drivers for something like that, run the other way. Do so especially if you don't have anything else going on for you. I think that's reasonable enough advice.
