I been saying this since I was 18, when I found out what lithium actually did for bipolar disorder. Again, more evidence that strengthens the belief that mental illnesses are caused by nutritional deficiencies.

Another thing about lithium is too much affects the thyroid, which is another bipolar related ailment. I hope one day the medical community will start to look at this correlation more in depth. I think we could actually find better treatment and recovery options if we understand the biological reasons for this and other ailments, mind and body.

I'm not really rooting for anyone in particular yet.  Probably the guy least likely to win in the end though. hah

Just there is a clear, distinct willfulness to ignore evidence in favor of believing, or even going so far as to create propaganda to support whatever makes them the most money/votes rather than deal with reality as it is in the GOP.  (Sounds a lot like some democrats too lol)  But things like Global Warming, Evolution , Stem Cell Research all  poo pooed by far more republicans than democrats. Real vs Ignorant. (or worse not ignorant, but actively working against better research intentionally)

This probably has set us back a decade from where we are now in terms of technical innovation and scientific education at a time when we are already lagging further and further in relation to other western countries. Science especially , the key area from which most of our modern economic standing came from (our ability to innovate and invent).  The (medium/long term) economy needs to come first, otherwise there is no funding for whatever else it is we want done. In the USA we are at our "production capacity" (or close to it) working harder isn't the answer, working smarter is. Read: better understanding of reality / technical innovation, the base of which is science.

The kind of crap many in the GOP support (and virtually no democrats) is bronze age myths (christian right) instead of reality(Evolution , Stem cell research) or short term profits , instead of reality again (global warming ).  In previous decades it was women and blacks being intellectually inferior and that smoking was just fine and good and early on even advertized as a health / social BENEFITs  (despite the lying godless scientists well supported information. )

Some realities , they've finally had to buckle under and just accept as fact or just better for society (after much kicking and screaming into modern thinking/ understanding).

Holy novel batman, not sure were that came from I'm zombie coma tired.  *swan dives toward pillows*
