Books you would like to see adapted to film/tv

Recommended Posts

Although a lot of good books can get ruined by movie adaptations (Johnny Mnemonic), there is still a lot of written material I would love to see made for the visual arts...

Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson.

The Amber Series by Roger Zelazny

Weaveworld by Clive Barker

What are some of your thoughts?

I would like to see the Dragonlance books made into a live action movie or tv show.  I think it could be awesome considering The Shannara Chronicles is on tv now.

I was surprised Snow Crash didn't get made into a movie back during the Lawnmower Man days when Cyberpunk was at its height.

I'm not so sure how to turn Amber into a movie, its proably in the so-called "unfilmable" bin.  I'm sure some studio owns the rights to it.

Weaveworld...  I know I read it, can't seem to remember it very well.

The Silo/Wool  series by Hugh Howey , awesome read.  Would have to be 3 movies hopefully.   I wan't to see it done if for no other reason to get that bastard to revisit that universe he created with more books hah.

Old Man's War by John Skalzi I think would translate well, and probably spawn a series of movies or even a TV show.

Even if they never get made into movies, they are good stuff to read.
