The Gathering "Zero" 3/3

So there was a HUGE turnout.   Me, Sommer and Sekhmet.     Was enjoyable nonetheless. Hopefully the next one will be a little better.   I don't ever expect it to be huge.  That's not the idea, the idea is to have it be just "a thing" not like the old DGN times where I would walk into CC and it would take me an hour to get to the dance floor due to having to talk to 55 people. (not that I minded that, just not realistic atm) 

 

The Gathering of  Goths/Gamers/Sci Fi / Fantasy / Horror / Fashion Nerds / whatever.  Is just meant to be a casual thing durring the week.   The red apple seems to be a good spot for that.   Its fairly large, you can play "causal ingress" there without hardly moving.   Its not intimidating at all due to said greasy spoon atmosphere.  

I was told they have Karaoke sometimes but I didn't see anything about it.  (plus that might be intimidating, but maybe not, Might just be funny to see troy sing "Red Right Hand" off key , sweating his ass off).

I would have liked to go. Get some face to face adult time. Had it been tonight or my ex-employer hadn't claimed I was going to get 4 weeks severance nothing would have stopped me... except the right kind of smile from Sinn.

Fortunately I now believe my ex-employer because I did indeed get the first 2 weeks. I wonder, if an welder is worth severance, how good is he?

Any one need weld repairs? My prices are much more reasonable than a shop and I will justify every dime.

The link in your sig to your "minishop" doesn't seem to work.   Can you weld small stuff?   Like I have rings and cufflings (stainless steel) that have either broken or just sort of "split" but still wearable.   Or is that too delicate of a job.   

 

For the short term at least KEEP THAT JOB!   As much as I'd like to say "fuck that shit... come visit" this is the one time my level headed side overrides my wise-ass side.   hah.

I did  but all I had was the cheese / bacon heart attack fries.   Hard to screw that up!  XD

And yeah we could make our own I'd assume Karaoke wise, I meat to ask about that when I was there.  Hell there were hugs on the line, thats serious business. I thought I'd have my Karaoke expert Kat there to advise me.  (I can't hear Karaoke advice over the internet, its a genetic defect).

As for rings and cufflinks, I would have to know what materials they are made out and see pictures of them next to a scale or ruler millimeter side, to know about welding them. I probably wouldn't bother welding, more likely I would solder and because I only have lead based solder, I would have to start the price out at 50% of a spool of silver.

I liked what I ordered. Hot pot roast sandwich with mashed potatoes. The beef had a little chewy piece in it but other than that it was great because the gravy was good. Gravy makes everything better. I also got carrot which was yummy.

 that sounds like something I would order. I know right, gravy.. Now I want some biscuits and gravy.
