Much better turnout Thursday  than I expected. (15?) Lot of names I cannot remember. The take away is... >>please post << if you are coming (not necessarily posting if your not comming, and not posting about how your doing something  else).

Secondly it is less likely that organizers of things will think that you don't care. 

As a general rule (most) people don't want to got to something that (seemingly) no one else is going

Yea his name is Zurgous (Dan) -he had to leave to go over the road at 2AM but he will be posting more, Troy he loves talking about history and is down to play some magic too! I had a feeling you guys would get along. 

We also had Frank sitting across from me when I first got there, his former DGN name is Jacques Treatment. 

Next to him was Brandy formerly Astral Crux, I didn't get to say goodbye to here:(

There were a couple guys that I didn't know who they were, though. 

Chelsea was our waitress, she is actually my brother's first love...I love her:) I haven't seen her in years, and was ironically talking about her on the way to Red Apple, had no idea she worked there and bam! Irony.

It was so nice to meet finally Marblez and Sehkmet, RosyBlue. Finally. Oh and Freak, I see has he joined now? 

Had a lot of fun. I should get out more.

I'm getting really pissed that they expectme to drop my plans for whatever reason they have.

Yea, he was a very nice guy actually, really kind. He said he was Jacques Treatment. I told him to come back and start posting but he hasn't yet. Maybe you could give him a nudge? I think he needed to feel included. You're good at that!

I just messaged Jacques Treatment. I told him he seemed very nice and it was good to meet him. I don't mind reaching out to anyone if needed. It may not always work but I at least try.

So that was the other Frank?Jacques Treatment? He was on the board when I was active. I think I must not have met him in person before because he didn't look familiar. I did get this feeling like I should have known him and I feel like a dummy for not asking.

I just read an article about reaching out to people and how it takes self confidence and an some emotional risk. (online, especially DGN its not much risk but...)  Thus some people don't do it at all , or at least rarely.  Wish I could remember where as it had this checklist of things that were pretty helpful and the last one was about no matter what you do you are going to get the occasional person that is just not friendly, they might be a jerk, or they might just be in a bad place in their life but its going to happen and try not to take it so personally.   

I know that's not what happened in THIS case, just something I thought of.  I swear I'ma write a book.  Not that its gonna sell but Ima write it.
