The Big Aristotle will soon become The Big Ambassador.

Shaquille O’Neal will serve as the first-ever U.S. Department of State Sports Envoy to Cuba in an effort to build relationships and cooperation through sports. The 15-time All-Star will be in Cuba from June 25-28, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of State.

O’Neal will lead basketball workshops and clinics promoting diversity, leadership and teamwork. He’ll also visit “historically significant cultural sites in Havana to encourage positives ties between the U.S. and Cuban people,” according to the release.

President Obama became the first sitting president to visit Cuba since 1928 earlier this year, and while there, he took in an exhibition game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cuban national team. The landmark event was the first time an MLB team had played in Cuba since 1999. As symbolic as that game was, O’Neal might serve as an even better representation of inclusion and camaraderie.
