Large Update

The software that runs the board has been updated extensively.  Almost all of it is behind the scene changes.  Bug fixes , stuff that makes various parts of the board use up less system resources ect.    There is nothing "obvious"  that I can tell.  But if something starts behaving badly please let me know.  

This is partly in preparation for MORE long overdue updates , that can't be done unless the board / skin core software itself is first updated.

I was noticing how cool the background looked when I refreshed my window....now I know what's up.

So far everything is working....nice.

Crazy thing is all the "real" stuff seems to be working fine but that picture is actually not what should be showing.  Leads me to belive  SOMETHING is wrong, but other than it showing the wrong picture (despite me trying to change it) everything seems fine.  The idea was to get all this "base level" stuff updated (which it finally is) and then move on to adding / fixing stuff like the donation system (still not that great of software, it works fine, but looks half-ass to me plus it should show like "the top posters for the current goal" and such, but it doesn't work properly....  

 

Ok "blah blah behind the scenes labor blah blah"  thats the short version lol .

Question...is it due to the update that the sidebar has varying content that changes depending on where you are within the board?

...or is it supposed to be that way...?

I'm fairly sure the dynamic content is intentional.

I could be wrong though.  I don't know if it isn't phpBB it confuses me and even that can be a bit much.

The sidebar is specific to each new page you go to , so unless I add each block exactly the same on every page, its in different areas of the sidebar.  Its quasi intentional.   I didn't plan it that way, but it seems to make the pages seem more "complex" and more to look at.  Although some might say they don't want that and would prefer everything to be exactly the same on the sidebar.   /ponder
