If you want to dip into drone fun but don't want to spend much money this is the one. Crazy how much this tech has advanced in just 1 year. A year ago it was impossible to get a drone this small for this cheap that does everything this one does. I'd buy a few if I was still working and give them as presents, I might still do it once (or if) I ever get a few things figured out. . Dirt cheap (for a drone) and tiny. Don't expect it to be more than it is though. Its a "toy" not a "real drone" for lack of a better term.

These are not the junk that was for sale say a year ago.  Its easy to get the "nano" drones confused as they all look very similar.  (although this still is a "disposable" toy, you can't fix them, not unless you are an electronics buff, fixing them would be more cost/time consuming even if you did know how than just re-buying them)  Not that I have any since they cost you know ... that paper stuff.  hehe.

Dayan Anser Mini Drone RC Quadcopter, CX-10D

Note the "Intelligent Fixed Altitude" ... something not available on MUCH more expensive drones a year ago.

I have been researching drones since before they were a consumer product.... sort of a "window shopping hobby" at this point.  I had almost 900 dollars saved up but... bleh bills.   Just in time for the "best" drones to come out.   Love@universe.

Sometimes the toys are just as good as the real thing.  I remember some nightvision goggles that actually worked that were stupid cheap, and still are apparently.

Modify it and hook up a tiny camera to take photos, maybe a transmitter to send them live, a mic to record audio.  You have a tiny surveillance drone.

The government had a tiny jet drone they were experimenting with back in the 80's or 90's.  I saw a .gif or video of it somewhere.  Can't find it now but I suppose everything looks like a toy compared to that.
