Let it be known that I have never read Asimov's book/novellas upon which this movie was based. So I have no basis for comparison in that regard.

That said, I enjoyed this movie a lot. I had kinda anticipated a plot device that turned out to only be about partly true, so that was kinda fun.

I thought the CGI was among the best I've seen yet.

I enjoyed Will Smith. I'd consider this a good sci-fi movie.

Asimov purists I'm sure will disagree. So if you don't care about the origin of the story, you might like this film.

Recommended.
