A casual dinner time gathering in a "Denny's like" environment. 

Club Attire Encouraged but not Required

GLBT, Fashion Models, Cosplayers  Goths, DGNers, Ex DGNers Re-Goths, Goths for a day, Horror Movie and Sci Fi (especially SW, ST, BSG and GoT ofc fans.) MTG players. Ingressers.

The spiritually inclined, Science & History buffs. General weirdos.

Totally normal open minded people.

Like all DGN events this is NOT particularly kid friendly*.

*like DGN itself , this is not "kid friendly". You can bring them but No F-Bombs will be held back.  No sexual innuendos (or straight up sex talk) will be spared.  If you can't get a sitter and your kids are not SUPER well behaved leave them in a kennel at home with food & water.

*If you really want to make sure you get one. Just ask here (not in the FB page, that will be futile) and make sure you show up before me.   Some time after I walk in the door and whoever has asked for a card (here) has priority. **

 

 

 

Cards Fine Print

**If for some reason there are not enough cards to go around  (There are typically only 7)

1.  Ask at the gathering for a card (first come first serve, with the below exceptions)

2. If your name is not in this topic I'll hold off until someone  who does have their name IS in this topic asks for a card. 

3. Asking in this topic means you have priority over someone who has not, everyone that asks here (should) get one before someone who has not.

4. I'll hold one for Permanent Benefactors until its clear the aren't coming if they've asked here.  (If you are unsure what this is don't worry about it or have a look here)

5.  If you've asked here , just ask at the gathering and you should get a card with no problem. 

6.  The order in which you ask here is vaguely "sooner you ask the higher priority" but is very hard to keep track of.  If you wait until less than 24 hours before the event you risk not getting a card.

I make one for everyone that asks here. +2 extra typically but not always the extras vary.

No one owns (except Permanent Benefactors) a particular card. Hopefully if you slacked off or there is a screw up you can just trade for a particular card if you end up not getting it the one you wanted.'

 

Corporate summary:  Take the whole 2 minutes and ask. If it's not worth two minutes, you don't really want one,which is fine.

Hopefully none of the above will be super necessary and there will never be any drama over the theoretically "for fun" cards.  (there never has been)      But please request a card HERE if you want one.

Viewing is next week apparently as they have to sort the funeral crap out with my aunt's church.  Be the first time in a long time I've set foot in one.  As I can only handle one group of insane people a week I may miss 53.  Tomorrow looks good though :D

I called Red Apple and verified that they have power and are open.  So many areas without power I thought it might be a good idea to double check.

Yea, I work down the street from there and peeped it out earlier.  No power issues in that area.

Well I was doing fairly ok despite the still no power.

I could just suck up the cold but mom can't. She's shivering and being emotional which is not like her she is usually pretty emotionless 'don't leave me alone right now please'. She wanted to get a hotel (for the heat) and she can't do her cancer stuff by herself [you still dont wana know] in this state.

So I was packing up stuff and trying to be helpful. She has this abrasive way about her, the only person on the planet that can push my buttons so badly. Made it to the hotel just calmed down from my third panic attack.

Really frustrating, today is the 1 year Anniversary of the gathering and I couldn't and still can't even make the damn cards, much less hobble my way to The Red Apple (even if mom wasn't barking for help with something every 5 minutes)  this is just too much to suck up. DAMN IT. 

Hood of my car last week.... No clue

I thought the hood looked cool.  Yes I was going to ask about it then I saw "No clue".

Turns out we will all be late from this end.  Girl Monchichi at DSA for concert until 8:30pm.  headed to pick her up in a few minutes.

Thanks to this power out thing, I have to type this on my phone sitting in my truck.  Going on 24 hours as of 9:15pm.  Making it work.

Leaving now.  Hope we get to see someone tonight.

Yeah, sorry I bailed.  Overslept again and then I had to drive Bre to work.  Lights were out and it's so bad they put stop signs out and made them for way stops, and there was a section of streetlights on I-696 that were BLINKING!  It was pretty cool to see.  After I dropped her off I headed to The Phoenix Cafe for the new goth night there (second Thursday of the month currently.) Very light crowd, probalby because it's the first night, powers out, and Small's had some concert too.
