And I apologize about the site before.  I was just getting tired of seeing everyone's "Goth" sites with the same look.  I just wanted DGN to not look so much like everyone else especially with all the various options there are.  But if the look is scaring people away, then by all means, I will copy the norm.  It is about what you want as the final say.  I don't want you to feel embarrassed to promote your own site.

I agree.  I am loving the new look.  It keeps a Goth look but yet different so to stand out.  We as a group are not what some would consider normal Goth.  We are more of a eclectic group (hope I used that correctly) in the sense that not everyone would be considered Goth yet we have our common ground.  But it is our differences that keeps us unique, fresh and welcoming to all Goth and Non-Goth.

Yeah, that's rare.  Although I probably access it via the computer about 70% of the time mostly because its hard to do some of the more admin-y things via mobile.

My thinking on that is that people here should be "goth friendly" but that's about the extent of it.  Helps keep closed minded people away and does give gothy-inclined people a safer place to post about things than say Reddit or some other troll filled discussion place.

I shrunk the donation thing down but its probably still too big.  Really frustrating that it looks so odd on the desktop version.  To fix both will probably require a lot of hours and custom-ish things.  GRRR.

Tron here is just an interesting quick sort of "best practices" for mobile sites, short and to the point:

https://www.sitepoint.com/7-best-practices-designing-mobile-user-experience/

The key one there I think its to try and keep things "scaleable" rather than a fixed size.  Not that that is always easy to do.  (or at least a fixed size that looks decent on desktop and good on mobile)

So I do not misunderstand you here.  As I stated, the current setup is by request that was made that this particular skin is incapable of executing.  Are you sending me this information to pass on to the "Theme" creator so they can create a better scalable model version for Mobile?

@Troy Spiral

I spent most of the night doing a line by line code walk-through and I discovered that the currently coding for the Mobile version of this skin automatically forces Widget images to 100%.  So, regardless of how much you shrink the Donation Box image, it will be forced to fit the width (minus framework) of the Mobile device screen.

At this point, the only way to counter this is for me to create an actual static forum topic entitled "Donation" with a line to the Donation Box or Donation Page (whichever way you would want that to be viewed).

Well, I think the width is fine, it's the height that takes up all the space.  How to balance it so its obvious but not so huge I guess is just to shrink the vertical size down which means having no picture or just a tiny 'mood' line of color or something.  When Wikipedia goes on a donation binge all they have is bold text a bit larger than their normal text with an obvious donate button.  (just thinking out loud there)

Just writing this here so I hopefully will get to it at some point (seem to be running around like a chicken with my head cut off every day since i only have like 4 hours of 'functional' time before the sleep deprivation kicks in and I become worthless for things that take a lot of concentration.  (working on that almost daily though... damn it, not gonna give up there.  Need to get the sleep in order so I can do a lot of things, not the least of which is being able to put in the appropriate amount of time on the business and make good on trust that was put in me to get that profitable)  Its really a struggle. *makes like the little engine that could*

TROY YOU DO THIS AT SOME POINT:

1. Remove all notifications of all sorts.

2. Set default notifications to only include:  reactions, quotes, tags, and replies to topics that the person started themselves.

Getting involved in email marketing pretty extensively due to the business, people marking your email as 'spam' because they are just getting overwhelmed with notifications/emails is baaaaaaaaaaad.  The way it is now unless users go through figure out how to turn off notifications (hah) they get spammed with way, way too many.  (and changing it for 'future users" is nice, but the vast majority of our posters will be existing posters which needs a script or some such to run in the SQL (which for people that know about it apparently is fairly easy, its functionality that is there, it just doesn't have any clicky-click admin interface way to do it.

Tron, I have 50 things going at once right now but just thought of something, could you remove the 'upvote' choice from reactions?  Its pointless without a downvote, as "like" and the other 'positive' reactions serve the same function just making upvote confusing. Especially to people that have never seen it before (Facebook and the like don't have such things as upvote, that is for forums like this so you get a feel for the collective reaction to posts, but downvote here might cause unnecessary drama)  (confused and sad shouldn't count as anything in the 'points' part of the reactions, all the rest should just be +1)  If there was a "love it' i would count that as +2 but there isn't one (the trophie meaning 'thanks' is odd, just thinking out loud not suggesting anything be done about that part per se.

Took care of the upvote situation.  Totally understood about the trophy, seems like it should be a hug or something.

Profile page is broken; at least mine is.

i get a 404 not found.

I checked the host fixes and currently it appears that they have fixed all of the database links.  Please let me know if you still have this issue.

Also  if you scroll through the threads I notice Nitewolf has no name anymore. It's just color and upvote number.  I don't know who else that is happening to.

Oh, wait @Troy Spiral you are also nameless.

The issue lies in the fact that the mobile version differs from the desktop version.  Troy and Nitewolf both have special categories which changes their names to red.  On the mobile version, it is the same color as the title banner:

On the desktop version the names appear white in a black title banner but the status setup is different:
