Black Sunday9
so MsM said I was too sporty and needed to be more goth. Well I devised a plan to be scarier and gothier. First I needed to find a way to the mall - the oakland mall - because it is the gothest mall ever. So I sat outside Lynch and Sons funeral home and was able to hitch my skull decorated skateboard to a funeral procession that went by the mall. I noticed upon entering an extremely goth store, called Hot Topic. I noticed many depressed 15 year olds coming out of the store and I knew right then and there that this is where I needed to be. Black. That is the only color that would do, wearing anything else would have my GF dropping me off at Wild Woody's on her way to City Club on saturday. Well I was confused. I saw lots of t-shirts of bands, but they were mostly emo bands. Where was the goth stuff? I didn't see any Van Helsing (or lead singer David Lee Goth) on the wall, nor did I see anything by any black metal bands since us real goths have decided the black metal is the official goth music of european goths....not that techno crap. So I bought a plain black shirt and used my nail polish to write "I am gother than than Daevion" but since my nail polish is also black you couldn't see it....unlike Paper Hearts X on his forehead. Anyway all in all I would reccomend Hot Pocket to any of you fellow sporty guys who want to be more goth. Just don't go during the day so you can avoid the sunlight. Ok I have to go drink blood now. Bye.
Scary Guy
Fuck HT, Noir is king www.noirleather.com Not that you obviously weren't joking completely, because if you weren't all us übergoths would have to rip your flesh apart. I'll reluctantly admit to going into HT a few times (after all they do carry HIM or did last I checked, oh yeah and Invader Zim stuff or did last I checked). I almost went into a gad zooks once cause a friend dragged me, I flat out refused to set foot in the store and waited outside.
Daevion
hahahaha....your a smartass but its still funny :laughing
Brenda Starrr
I used to be management at HT. It just wasn't my thing. The excuse for why the Goth wall was so small was just lame. The Goth stuff wasn't very goth. Ew. The only good thing was seeing HIM and Lacuna Coil stuff in the store.

JaneDead
actually, my kids and brother like that store. i take my kids there and sometimes buy them things. i can't wear their shirts- they are too small. i tried on a rolling stones one once.. you know with the big tongue on it... yeah that tongue just wasn't big enough for ME. i got some cool pants there too but they were just a little too small. so i thought i would lose weight and wear them... then i had another kid... those pants are in my basement somewhere, tags still on them... maybe i can hand them down to my kids one day... we really just like the hello kitty, strawberry shortcake and living dead doll stuff they have had there. oh i got my daughter some jelly bracelets there she really loved too. though her arm is kind of too little to wear them how i used to wear them back in 1984. Paper Hearts
Sounds to me like you forgot to get a collar and a leash and black electrical tape and a gas mask. Next you go out shopping for a new goth outfit, take me with you, I'll get you looking like Robert Smith (minus the hair) (completely, as it were) and eventually you'll like it and start wearing Adam and the Ants inspired make-up like me, too. *As far as Hot Pocket, I like that their wrist bands are not real leather. Paper Hearts
can you make me look like robert smith too- with the hair? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, and in fact the Robert Smith look is a lot easier to achieve with hair.
JaneDead
i have a lot of hair so this should be easy. it is not long *long* only shoulder length... but i have a lot and it is used to being crazy and sticking out. we had a talk and my hair is really excited about this. The rest just falls into place jacket and boots is where to start your goth look I couldn't stop staring at your shoes one night but you're a good friend so I kept it to myself. JaneDead
could we do a marsha brady? then you can all follow me around and say marsha marsha marsha! but i will probably ignore it since i will forget you are talking to me since i am not really "marsha" but rather "melissa"
Paper Hearts
Could we do a Marsha Brady? -I think that's a look for a whole other scene. That's more for like indy girls. Now, if say, Ted, for instance, tried a Marsha Brady look, then it'd be goth.
JaneDead
what if it was greg brady then? he was a rock star.
Paper Hearts
Yeah...that's more like a punk girl look. Goths were originally 'goth punks' but one of the main things defining it as a movement was fashion (in the begining). In other words, no, we're talking about goth make overs.
