How Are You Feeling? (cont'd)

Totally exhausted.  This day is going on 14 hours of non-stop things that must be done.

I get the feeling I'm going to have a hearty sleep tonight, whether I want it or not.

I'm back. Kinda. Kinda had a mental breakdown since late March. Oddly enough once I got the fuck over it my lady friend ditched me. Funny shit really, like ok you healed me then fucked off? Well thanks.. I think..

Place is deader than my soul these past few months. Maybe I oughta play some Backstreet Boys and defile some graves in necroposting? Nothing like a small bit of controversy to get this place alive..ish again!

Sorry to hear about your lady friend.  Just glad you didn't throw caution to the wind and jump in head first.  The plus being that she did help you through a difficult spot.

Side note, if you felt you were Catfished, there's a little show on MTV that might be of assitance to you. :wink

As for the board.  With all the glitches, software changeovers, inability to use various functions, I think it's just eaiser for peole to post on sites like Facebook for now.

As I worked to get the upgrades done, hosting companies decided to do major changeovers as well.  Therefore, stuff I didn't know, I now have to learn in order to keep up.

It will be dead around here for a bit, but the board will make a comeback.  It just might not look the same as people remember due to a lot of software reaching EOL and the replacements are not like what's ending.  At this point, I'm curious to see what the board will look like once everything is up to date and functioning.

I'm feeling a bit trepidatious about the Hydra treatment I start on one of my fur babies who started showing signs of kidney failure.  So far so good.  She is putting weight back on and has become energetic again.  I'm not sure how long this will last, but I will take what I can get.  As long as she is comfortable and not in pain, I'm fine with it.

Trying not to feel overwhelmed.  It's crazy how much I have going on and how much stuff is up in the air right now.  I just feel like I can't focus.

They have meds for that :P

Honestly I need to try me some of that Adderall one of these days.  I'm a bit scared to though because I might actually do something.

  • 2 weeks later...

Feels like I'm living in a state of disorganized chaos, trying to hold everything together with a piece of wet packaging tape while it's all precariously balanced on the top of my head.

Everything feels impossible, yet doable.

    • Currently rebuilding my Affidavit file from data I submitted to my case manager in the past.  I just had no idea I would still be working on this 2 hours later.   The Tortoise is winning this race...dagnabbit!

    • Well, things definitely got scary there for a bit.  I accessed my removable drive on a device that had a forced upgrade to Windows 11.  The drive was stated as having a corrupted recycle bin then began to systematically remove files from specific folders.  I'm not certain how many folders were affected, but one folder for the entire statistical data collection for 2024 showed as empty and another accessed folder had files deleted for all of September and most of August before I disconnected it.  It appeared as if the drive was being reformatted, but wasn't trying to save or backup any of the data on it.   So now it's time to rebuild my desktop to preserve the data that remains.   Since this was a rebuild from the massive decade worth of data loss prior to August 8, 2018, I'm not feeling as devastated as I did back then.  Sadly, it's beginning to feel like business as usual.  The good news is that with my last Micro Center run, I purchased multiple drives for specific purposes, one of which is strictly for backup data.  I just wasn't quite sure what direction I wanted to go in regarding the new hardware installation, but this incident has definitely steered me into a specific heading.
