How Are You Feeling? (cont'd)

Kat, sounds like a stress migraine; I had one or two of those.

And yeah, I'll do my best on letting you guys know what's up. I've had migraines for years, and most are a one day deal if I'm not quick with my otc meds. This was the second to send me to the ER (first was triggered by too much caffeine between a half pint chocolate ice cream and 20 oz bottle of coke).

At this point, you two will have to keep us posted on symptoms and wellness progress since the medical field dropped the ball.

And yes, kat, stoke was my main concern, but I really didn't want to stress anyone out with that because we went through that here a few years back with TIA .  Unfortunately, symptoms are sharing too many  parallels.

Yea, I I didn't want to say anything either but I did see that article but I keep seeing articles about everything being a symptom.  I never meant to scare anyone.  It's just everywhere we look we can't escape it. I would rather give a heads up on something I heard and let someone look into it than shut up and something happened and I didn't say anything. I'm sorry you guys.

Oh I tested negative btw I went through so much bs just to get my test results finally.

oh yea I myself drink alot of pop too and eat chocolate..and that could be another thing triggering mine. Ah, ok so it's sent you to ER before...ok..that makes sense to me. I have a neurologist.  Do you have a neurologist?

I'll do more symptom research for strokes on the anon; I can always ask my mom about any tests that may have been done when I was in for observation for the concussion when I was 7/8. (Maybe the pepsi I had during that night may have taken and turned into one of my migraine triggers?)

To be honest,  this shit is off...I think China or something unleashed something purposely.  This is biological fucking warfare and retaliation. I'm not buying the bullshit.  It doesn't feel right..something isn't right.

And yes, this pandemic started in an unsanitary open meat market in China that was processing a specific species of bat and the area was contaminated within a few hours.

And of course, me being me, I was curious about the fact that is seems like there is some sort of pandemic every 100 years.  My research turned up the following text I shared during a family discussion:

~~~~~
  • Wow, there is literally a pandemic outbreak every 100 years (with the exception of Bubonic Plague aka Black Death aka The Black Plague or "The Plague" which started in Europe and Asia and devastated the world's population from 1347 to 1351, but did not end across the globe until 1750).
    1300's = Black Plague
    1400's and 1500's = English Sweating Sickness
    1620's = Italian Plague
    1720's = Bubonic Plague
    1820's = Cholera Outbreak
    1920's = Spanish Flu
    2020's = Coronavirus
    Apparently other people are researching the exact same things.
~~~~~

The only thing that has changed is how fast information is shared, globally, regarding outbreaks in the 20th Century and beyond.

It was just the once with the pop and chocolate because it was just a large amount (I had cash; high school graduate I was) of caffeine at once. Since then, yeah pop and chocolate can trigger, but not like that since. No, I don't. Not sure if I'd be able to get one now (through Medicaid) due to current conditions. I still hadn't seen my GP and dentist thro medicaid since I was working 5 days a week. More worried about making money than seeing my doctors.

I do try to limit my intake of caffeinated pop and chocolate; so that's why I'm thinking that the combination of the having the pepsi and pizza after mowing the lawn gave me the migraine and why it's still kinda lingering on.

Why I said I'm not having caffeine (that at least) after mowing the lawn.

Interestingly, I suffer the same thing.  I'm not sure if there is an official name for it, but I always called it "Sugar Shock".  For me, I would be stuck in a nauseated stupor that would last for hours and all could do was sip water and shake uncontrollably until the symptoms passed.

Sounds like we all have this in common here...man, I really am a sugar addict though.

I'm so used to dealing with hypochondriacs that I tend to do a one on one private discussion regarding potentially physically devastating possible diagnoses.  But, since it's out there, I believe people need to be educated about the what a Stroke is and TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack)

Stroke: CVA, Cerebrovascular Accident

TIA: Transient Ischemic Attack

Note: I'm not sure how these searches look on a phone, but if you see the pale green box with the illustrations, you can click on the various tabs to go through the "Overview", "Symptoms", "Treatments" and "Specialists" information.

Looking at the TIA symptoms, and while I see the overlap between that and what I get for migraines; I don't have TIA. Granted that's all a quick look at home and not an official diagnosis.

I've had the numbness for as long as I remember having migraines; auras, double vision, numbness (usually the right hand/arm, sometimes tongue). Only thing I could think that might affect my migraines (other than maybe a genetic one) would be a concussion years ago when I was ... 7/8? Second grade. Can't remember if any tests were done, or what came of those.

i'm just wondering, after reading this about the numbness with your migraines, whether you've investigated chiropractic treatments? i've had numbness issues many times (pinky/ring fingers, lower half of an arm, toes, etc.)  that have been caused by vertebral subluxations, and a few times, migraines have come along with that. for me, it's always been a problem with my spine being misaligned... just a thought, wanted to suggest it. :)

Went shopping for a few things (food) and stopped at walgreens and got lucky to find Excedrin migraine. Took one and just hanging out now.

fyi, excedrin migraine has about as much caffeine as a pepsi does. might not be the best choice if caffeine is your trigger?

It seems to work. Also, it might/could be the combination of caffeine/fake sugars in pepsi compared to the excedrin migraine.

I'd have to find a chiropractor that accepts 1. new patients, especially now 2. and accepts medicaid at the current time.

I'm so nauseated right now I could scream.  I had a sudden flare up in my glands at the same time I started suffering from abdominal discomfort.  And it's like both areas converged in my stomach, but there's nothing to throw up.  And these ejection node keep shooting down my throat and everything feel like it's full of infection.

I'm going to take an aspirin, an Ibuprofen and drink a best defense with some apple juice and tuck under.

Thank you for the well wishing.  I'm happy to report that my nausea bubble popped right about 4pm this afternoon.  So I am feeling much better now.  Apparently, I had a slight injury that I wasn't aware of so my body put the brakes on.  Now I just need to rest up a bit and I should be back to full throttle.

By the way, Love the Profile Pic:

I feel like my body has moved to a new time frame.  After all those sicky days, I now find it difficult to stay awake after 10:30pm regardless of what time I wake up.  My body starts crashing at 10pm.
