I'm so exhausted, feels like I might not make it to Toonami.  I also feel too tired to eat right now, even though this is my first meal of the day.

Yep.  I passed out before it even started.  Then once I turned it on, I passed out after rewinding several times.  Then I decided to sit up and watch TV instead of laying down and ended up falling asleep sitting up.  However, once my brain realized that I won't be able to watch some of the shows later (due to me not having a Hulu account), my brain kicked in and I made it to the end of the lineup.

🤣

Currently, I'm feeling exhausted yet accomplished.  I managed to cut all the yards in one day again.  This time I managed to handle it all in 4.5 hours instead of 6 hours.

Feeling like I dodged a bullet yesterday.  I almost messed up.  I knew there would be a high of about 85 degrees and I knew I had about 6 hours of grass cutting ahead of me.  So the plan was to monitor the temperature before and after each yard cutting to insure I did not put myself in danger of suffering another heat stroke (like the one I did in 2014).

Everything went smoothly.  However, when I got to the final 2 backyards to cut (one of which is a double lot), I neglected to check the temp before starting on the second half of the double lot.  I had failed to notice that the temp had spiked 8 degrees in 35 minutes.  But fortunately for me, the mower ran out of gas a few minutes into that part of the cutting session.

As I was making my way to fill it up again, I noticed my heart was beating so hard that it felt like I had 3 of them: one in my chest, one in my back and one in my gut, all beating with different rhythms.  The feeling was so off-putting and odd that I immediately stopped and sat down in the shade on my cooled, concrete steps.  I realized I was just beginning to overheat and my body shut down as soon as I sat down.

I was happy to see my nephew had come to check on me, but I felt bad that he had to see me that way; completely immobile, stretched out on my back steps.  However, in his young eyes, he just thought I might have needed a drink of water...so it was all good.  After I cooled off and got my bearings, I let him know I was good to go.  Thankfully, it only took about 10 minutes.

My regular recuperation time is up to 15 minutes.  Anything more than that and I know I have put myself into a danger zone.

Feels like I narrowly avoided a logging disaster with the boy's attendance.  For some reason, it took him until nearly 10pm before he completed everything, regardless of the fact that he was done with all of his coursework by 5pm.  I totally passed out at 9:45pm while waiting for his timesheet and woke up at 11:54pm with 6 minutes to enter everything before the day closed out.  I have no idea why it took him from 5pm until 9:57pm to wrap up for the day.

He didn't seem to care that I had been up since 5:30am getting his day started, then heading out with his aunt for a colonoscopy by 8:40am, then running errands, then taking care of a brief emergency, then getting dinner together and making sure everything was wrapped up by 7pm.  And that's just the stuff he was aware of me doing.

So, the fact that he finally got everything done 3 minutes before his bedtime just boggles my mind.

Feeling so much better now.  I'm not sure what happened to me, but I've been not feeling good since May 6th.  But whatever it was eventually let go around 5pm today and I was finally able to get up and start cleaning my house.

Yay

Not feeling as accomplished as I had wanted to be.  My old power lines caused a short that tripped a circuit and exposed a potential fire hazard in an outlet.  I fixed the electrical, but now I need to replace two 100' outdoor power cords that have reached the end of their usefulness...after 25 years.  At the same time, I will be ordering supplies to install outdoor outlets so extension cords will no longer have to run through the houses whenever I work outside.  So, trimming the grass is a no-go until equipment arrives.  Unfortunately, it's raining tomorrow...for most of the morning.  So, cutting the grass is out of the question until Thursday.  So, therefore, Wilderness Land on the Back 40 until further notice.

Slightly out-of-sorts.  It was cold last night, so I REALLY didn't want to get out of bed.  It's the day before a holiday weekend, I'm working from home, and I'm tired.  I am actually not in as much pain as usual, so that's a good thing.  I'm a little stiff, but that is probably because we went from 90 degrees a couple of days ago to 40 this morning!

It finally stopped raining a couple of hours ago, so tomorrow I will be assessing the damages.  So far I know one location has ceiling leakage.

So some sunshine to brighten up your days. Sounds great. Time to plan for a picnic once it’s warm enough 🦊

I'm a residential builder.  One of the houses has damage from today's storm so I will be up there to determine the level of damage and how much repair work is needed.

Sounds like an important job. Do you use a harness when on the roof? Over here in Australia builders and labourers are instructed to wear one. 🦊

Here in the U.S., each state and municipality has their own laws.  For the state of Michigan, the height of the job and wind zone determines the need for harness use.  Standard residential roofs in our area do not require one.  However, commercial work does.

I'm feeling a bit blindsided and very confused.  My auto insurance company cancelled my policy for renewal.  Apparently my brother, who lives across town, and my niece, who was away at college, influenced this decision regarding my vehicle and the policy that had been under my name for a couple of decades now.

If they no longer wanted to be my insurer, Mark could have just contacted me direct instead of having a 3ird party consumer center make some bogus ruling regarding people who were not even at my residence during the time of the decision.  Needless to say, he will be hearing from me in a few hours.

After the storm you mentioned, this sounds like a matter that needs a lawyers assistance with. They may be making up excuses to get out of covering damage. 🦊

I apologize for the confusion.  I meant my auto policy was denied renewal by my insurance company.  Some company called "LexisNexis Consumer Center" out of Atlanta, Georgia, released information to my insurance company regarding "risk" concerns from 25 years ago and the fact that my niece is now 19 years old with a driver's permit.

But the way I see this is that it's telling me it's time to close this account and open one of my own.  This current account was a joint policy between me and my late mother.  My mother's policy covered my brother during his early driving record and later, she was made to adopt her granddaughter (my niece) thus associating her with this insurance policy.  So I think it best to let this one go and move on.
