Feeling a little weird.  After all these years of various neighbors acting like I was invisible and not even saying hi to me when I would acknowledge their presence, suddenly, everyone is talking to me.  I hate to be this way, but I feel it is because they want something from me.

...20+ years and NOW you see me...

I had the opposite thing happen when I bought an old house in Detroit a couple years ago.  The neighbors were welcoming me before I had even moved in.  It’s a strange feeling after years of being ignored in the suburbs.

Usually I am attacked by my neighbors as they hurl smoked meats and fishes in my general direction while cursing me in old English.

Maybe it's the full moon but I'm feeling some really shitty energy today.

The moon is not an excuse for people acting like lunatics.

I keep feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack but it never seems to come.  Sometimes I pound on my chest real hard and then it seems to feel okay again.

I just had that happen after six years of living at this place. We had to set boundaries very fast. People are not okay.

The thing is, I grew up with these people.  For some reason, they made the decision to dislike me, but not my siblings.  The only time they would speak to me is when they mistook me for my younger sister or if my brother (who is friends with everyone in the World it seems) just happen to be around that day.  I even used to babysit one of them.

It's just surreal at this point.  Maybe there was a paradigm shift and I'm living it now.

I should state that as kids growing up here, it was always a close-knit neighborhood with the exception of that one house with a few colorful people who like to shake things up.  Otherwise, this was the type of neighborhood where you didn't even have to lock your door.

Now, all the kids are grown and the majority of all the older neighbors have passed away.

I've always thought that you can't really blame people for having bad taste.  It sucks and it's shitty of them but you can't really change them even if you've done nothing wrong.  They just see you and think "not that one."

Not everyone is required to be friends with everyone else and sometimes it really is their loss.  You're a very intelligent, thoughtful, kind, and caring person, and anyone who doesn't get to know that about you is missing out, and all those people you mentioned did miss out.

Feeling pretty relaxed. Nothing came from my potato moment at work on Friday. The write up never even happened. My potato moments are growing farther and fewer in-between. It's also comforting to know they know they can't find anyone to do my job, at least not nearly as good as I can. Things are back to a solid routine again and I can finally relax.

Made the phone call for medical/vision/dental enrollment today. So hoping that I"m approved for it sooner than later. I already feel bad for having to cancel therapy Friday and feel like I'm going to need to do  (and cancel/rescedule my endologist appointment) that until I get my insurance cards.

Big internet group hugs. I won't hug in real life without asking unless you ask first.

*Big hugs* All I can really do now is hope that it's all approved. With all totaled, just over 120 for health insurance. Which really isn't too bad.

And I won't turn down a hug. Usually.
