Handling court documents for a new petition for hearing

Have you ever had to serve someone? I have to send my ex the paperwork for the motion I filed because we're supposed to be closing our friend of the court case and I didn't realize that they didn't notify him that I have to do it all officially? Even though we're doing it peacefully and on the same terms.  It's so frustrating dealing with Wayne County.  They didn't give me the option to have him served, I absolutely would have paid for them to.  I hate calling it served because it sounds like he did something wrong. I am going to do it tomorrow but they didn't give me anything to send him, like a proof of service or something.

Yes, I have to serve about 6 people annually for "Notice of Hearing" and the filed petition because there may be interested parties regarding current Probate status.  You should have received something telling you what day your hearing is for, "Notice of Hearing", as well as the petition stating what the hearing is about "In the matter of...".  Those are the two documents you are supposed to serve.  You then file the "Proof of Service" with the court.  You have the option to mail the documents (first class, certified or registered) or deliver them by hand.  In the event that you are unable to locate the person(s) to be served, you are to take out an ad in the newspaper and submit that to the court along with the "Proof of Service".

My new health care plan finally sent me the enrollment portion to complete my coverage.  Now I have to choose a plan and enroll in it by January 20th, then schedule an appointment within the next 60 days.

I know a lot of people dumped on Marketplace through Healthcare.gov, but at least all you had to do was be enrolled and the rest was done for you.  You also had the option of when and if you saw a physician.

With Michigan Enrolls, I will lose coverage if I fail to follow any of the given directions and then I will have to pay a penalty for any month that I do not have health care.

Ok, I did it certified.  I remember some of the probate court things like taking out the ad in the paper because of where I used to work. I think its so weird that I freeze when it comes to doing this stuff for myself but could handle other people's for years.  I'm so baffled.

You get baffled because when you handle it for you...now it's personal.

Recuperating.  My body made me stop with a punch to the gut.  Fortunately, I didn't have to chauffeur today.

I hope you are taking care of you. My heart hurts to hear you aren't doing well. My life is my own fault but I struggle with that. I only hope I can find a back door unlocked.

Getting back in from an emergency heater repair.  Don't you just love the way they breakdown in the middle of Winter.  But not many non-supplier individuals can say that they had a "Dyna-Glo 30,000 BTU Natural Gas Blue Flame Thermostatic Vent Free Wall Heater" just hanging around the house, ready to be installed. 😏
