Gripe about your job here

For the last couple of months, my work computer has been running like a turtle who smokes two packs a day. My boss tells me the channel I need to go through to get a new one--i.e. requesting one through our Help Desk. So, a few days later (Friday), one of the PC techs comes upstairs with my new computer; unfortunately, this new computer is older and slower than my current computer. It has a slower processor, less RAM, and less video memory (some of the programs I run are moderately graphics-intensive).

So, since I have access to the computer storage room, I take this 'new' POS machine back down, drop it off and reclaim my current PC. Yesterday, the tech comes back up to talk to my coworker and I about what I really needed for my PC, and when she realizes that I will actually need a new one, she proceeds to tell us that I'll need to put in a stock requisition.

In the meantime, with all the swapping of PCs containing my various and several login information, my email ID file has become corrupted, meaning I can't access my work email. We've talked to the Lotus Notes administrator, who told us he'd reset the password for me, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

...I swear I want to beat these people about the head with a stick. It would probably help them.

I can't play online poker at work...that's really my only major gripe.

Somebody did leave, and I got a couple of their accounts. And from the looks of things they're pretty decent accounts too. The market sucks, but its out of my control.

I really can't complain about anything. Poker is paying my bills in the mean time.

Maybe my only complaint is with myself for not having the balls to go pro. At least, not yet.
