Ties in Blood Drabbles

Idea: Aaliyah returns to the Bunker after a difficult hunt with injures to find the boys were out looking for her.

Notes: Been toying with how to write this one since the scene/scenerio’s that she got captured by the monster of the week, injured through torture, and saved by the Boys, and Dean’s more then worried about her. Then the return to bunker and recover. Maybe if we skip to the bunker …

Something More

Aaliyah dragged her foot up the last step and rested in the door frame, willing her breathing to return to normal before thinking of moving for the nearest library table and chairs. The echo of a door closing reached her before the metal sounds of footsteps did.

“I don’t get it, Sam,” Dean’s voice carried. “She woulda called us by now if she was having issues.”

“She can handle herself, Dean,” Same countered.

“After a week?”

“Maybe she caught another case.”

Aaliyah felt a little smile pull at her mouth. She missed that between the brothers; Sam’s willing to trust her and speak on her behalf. Dean’s over protectiveness to want to run out and help her. She would bet and win on the fact that the over protectiveness will change to wanting to go out and kill the monsters that hurt her. Good thing that she did that herself. The footsteps reached the floor as the brothers headed into the bunker.

“Doubt I’d catch a case in my condition,” she called out as the brothers passed by her, causing them to stop. Aaliyah met Sam’s gaze first, unwilling to look at Dean just yet. “Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sammy.” She finally looked to Dean, who had a mix of ‘Who hurt you?’ and ‘Are you okay? Let me help you’. “And you, I expected you to have my back.”

“I do have your back.” He started toward her.

“No, you don’t.” Aaliyah pushed herself from the wall and took a few steps before collapsing. The last thing she remembered was one of the brothers picking her up and carrying her into the bunker.

**

Aaliyah shifted, feeling the weight of blankets on her and the comfort of the bed and being held close by someone. The two of them were propped up against the wall and pillows for support. Memories started coming back from after she collapsed. Dean carrying her to the showers and tending to her before putting her current clothes on and putting her to bed. Her eyes finally opened to see Dean looking at her.

“How long was I out?” she asked.

“Day and a half. Maybe two.”

She shifted a little to stretch, burying her head against Dean when her hip protested the movement. “Vamp did a number while taking out their … issues.” And there was the tension in Dean’s body; the drive to kill kicking in. “They’re gone. Raziel took control and wiped out the entire nest. We were half way back here before they gave control back. I don’t exactly remember when my body gave out after hearing you and Sam coming in from the main door.”

“God, Aaliyah. You’re supposed to call for help if a hunt goes sideways.”

“Hunts for us always go sideways. The big ones anyway.” Aaliyah tried to push herself up to look at Dean better, only to fall back down. “I hate this.”

“I thought you liked cuddling.”

Aaliyah let out an amused huff. “That I don’t mind. Hell, I like it just as much as you. It’s the whole … injury and pain thing.” She felt Dean’s chest rise and fall in a sigh. “What is it?”

“Cas tried to heal you the other day. He managed to heal most of the injures; just not the hip. Said it was beyond his abilities.”

“So, I’m stuck in bed for six weeks.”

“Is that so bad?”

Aaliyah turned to glare at Dean to see a smile on his face. Her glare disappeared in a sigh. “I take it that you plan on being with me those full six weeks.”

“Every chance I can get.” He adjusted his arm around her, pulling her in close. “I love you.”
