Fierce Critter
(Note to mods: Don't know if this belongs here, or in Music, or even in "Other" - move with my blessing if necessary) NME (I believe it stands for New Music Express) Originals magazine just published an "all goth" issue that basically reprints articles & reviews all about goth acts from the original British NME Magazines from 1976 through 1992. There are tons of original articles about Siouxie & the Banshees, the Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, etc. It's pricey - $10.95. But I used to read the original NME at the Detroit Public Library, and it was a great introduction to things we heard little about here in the States. You can read more about the issue on their website at NME Originals Of particular note: Their reviews were BRUTAL. :pinch:
Troy Spiral (13)
I used to read NME along with most of the other major periodicals , their editors generally seemed to thumb their noses at Goth as being somehow "not serious", that opinion not being unique to NME though, (Spin, RS and even AP at times all had similar bents) the critical snobbery from the "educated music intelligencia" is one of the reasons most bands are scared to death of being called "gothic". But, regardless, im going to get this thing, pocket permitting. Thanks allot for the heads up!
