Found and update on Leo's conviction

Didn't know he didn't call right away.  Being poor sucks when it makes you think twice about calling 911, and also makes you look bad for not calling right away.  He was also drink and just in a crash, so not exactly in a clear state of mind.  I believe he fucked up but I still don't think he belongs in a cell.  Maybe force him to pay restitution or make him have to use one of those blowers to start his car for the rest of his life.  However I already know this will torture him internally until the end of his days.  No one wins here and the scene two good people instead of just one.

 

I still think about her all the time though, and will miss her until the end of my days (or I get dementia, whichever comes first.  Seriously hope I don't ever forget her though.)

Of all of the mistakes, screw-ups and outright close calls I've had in my life, I've always been happy that none ever resulted in anyone else's death or long-term injury.  But recent events HAVE shown me how EASY it is to get railroaded in our wunnaful Michigan legal system.  Nobody cares about intent.  Nobody cares, really, if an actual crime happened.  They have these vague, blanket terms and anything you do that they take exception to can be folded into one of them.  It's all a numbers game; they want wins to bolster their political resume.
