Imbedding fonts?

Recommended Posts

I've done a little searching for an answer to this online, but haven't had much luck. Maybe I'm searching the wrong terms.

Anyway, I realize that the fonts I use here on DGN, as well as fonts I've used on my eBay auction descriptions and on web pages I've set-up aren't appearing AS the fonts I've got on my computer. I realize they're defaulting to whatever people have on THEIR computers.

Even on our laptop, the things I mentioned above don't look like they do when I view them on our desktop PC, which is where I have all those fonts installed & where I set-up all those things.

So, what can I do to imbed these fonts in these things so ANYONE who views them see the font I want them to see? I'm hoping it's some kind of HTML code, which I can easily use as I've become quite acquainted with some HTML through setting up improved eBay descriptions, etc. But I have no clue.

You can't enbed fonts with just HTML. You have to use either an Embedded Open Font, which you can create from True Type fonts or TrueDoc fonts which are only kinda supported by most browsers....

Either way, it's not easy. An Easy way is to make sure your using a free font, not one that people have to pay for and then put it somewhere that people can download it. Then, in your post, put a link to that font explaining that people need to download and install the font to view things the way you created them.
