Kind of a secret event, and I'm still hammering out the details.  DM me for more info if you are available and want to attend.

 

I will not be DJing, but I will put together a thumb drive full of music.  Sometimes we do movies but I want more socializing rather than just watching something.  There will also be food of some sort I'm sure.

I'll have a round of chili dogs and lamb burgers. First come first serve till they're gone. Be happy to keep the grill hot and cook anything ppl bring along.

 

BYOB. There's a limited bar/mixers available. If you want something specific better bring it along.

Thanks to everyone who made it out.  Looking forward to next year if I make it that far.  Special thanks to @Serxera for hosting the thing as well, as that really means a lot to me.  He's pretty humble about it but he really is a satnd-up guy.  He also got and grilled me up a steak, and lamb burgers / chili dogs for everyone else.  I hope one day he gets a bar of his own, but kind of not because a customer will probably piss him off and then immediately end up through the nearest window.

 

I was really happy to see some good (and some old) friends who showed up including Matt(Luminosity/Unixarcade), Jenny, Mike, Joe V, Raven, Danni and his +1 Liz, Paris, Jim & Jess, and Tim who brought Scottie.  Also a special shoutout to all my other friends who wanted to come but couldn't make it (at least the ones that I know for certain would have if they could have.)

 

 

City Club aftermath tack-on!:

So, @superstinger wanted to go to Industrial Detroit (after Mike Marvin mentioned it) and my party was winding down at around 1 so I offered to drive.  Got  there and found free parking on the street so that was a nice start.  Got to the door and it was a $20 cover, each.  It was $15 just a little before that but I guess they raised it.

 

All the bands were done by that point and it was just @DJ Saint spinning in the front room.  I guess the main headliner canceled so the large room wasn't even open.  Crowd was fairly sparse too by that point.  Aria, Marz, and Thadius showed up after going to J's and getting told we left earlier because they went to some 90s night at New Way that I guess @pinknoise was doing or involved in.  Thad bought at thing of burgers to take to J's too and I told him to just bring that tonight.

Yes, I was going to unpin.

 

I leave pinned events up for a couple of days after an event in case people what to post about their experiences so they don't have to search for the thread.  Then I unpin and let it descend into the archives of DGN history.

I mean if there's a recent post in it it'll stay floating near the top though.  If people are too lazy to scroll down I believe that's on them.  I was just thinking it would help to appease those who think that there are too many pinned posts is all.

Yes, I was thinking that too.  But until there is a new arrangement put into place, I will continue to operate as I have been.

No need to announce, just stop by if you're able.  You are absolutely welcome but it's more of a gathering these days and less of a full on party.

 

If you want a party, Happy Endings is going on this Saturday, along with @phee's Access to Concrete show in Yipsi, along with @Raev, Sterling, that other guy who I can't remember, and @*Siren*'s Asylum show in Canada.
