Sorry, Not the fruit. 😂🍋🚫

This post is about LeMons, the endurance racing series for (supposedly) $500 cars. The name is a parody of the 24 Heures du Le Mans, the French 24 hour race that celebrated it's 100th anniversary this year.

Why am I posting about this?  Because tomorrow I leave for the weekend to go racing (driver) as part of a team running an event at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Indiana.  A few of you know I used to race as a hobby. In the days before kids, divorce, financial troubles, etc... This is the first time doing wheel to wheel racing in 20+ years.  Should be both fun and funny, since part of the LeMons series is a lot of humor.  It's kinda like racing and cosplay at a comedy club.  🙃😋🤡

To help understand the spirit of LeMons racing, watch a few of their race wrap-up videos.

Better yet, read this article on some of the best (ie. most notorious) cars ever to run a LeMons race. If you don't feel like reading just look at the photos:

And this is a good video on driving the specific track I'll be driving:

You may now return to your regularly scheduled gothing...

Better than Nascar at least, which is just a lot of turning left.

How do Nascar drivers make a right at an intersection?  They go up to the next one and make three lefts.

Why do Nascar drivers always eat last at parties?  Because they just like to wait until the end and take whatever's left.

Speaking of parties that LeMon party isn't really my thing but I'm happy you enjoy it.

I just want to drive fast and not feel too pressured to win or be fast (Though I am perfectly capable of both.). And laugh.
