Jon "talks" in different voices for all of our pets.

All the cats pretty much have the same voice. But Tuckle our bunny, and Oakley our German Shepherd have very distinct voices.

It's funny as hell. And when I think of what my pets might be thinking and might say to me if they could actually talk, I "hear" them in the voices Jon has given them.

Ripley's "favorite phrase" is, "I'll kill you. Don't go to sleep tonight."

Tuckle says, "Really" after every sentence pretty much.

Oakley is kinda goofy sounding, and calls everyone "Jon", even me. All humans are Jon to him.

Jon gets particularly amused that I've somewhat taken his habit onto myself, but thinks it's both funny and weird that I make up entire conversations that go back-and-forth between me and the animal in question. As in (remember, me speaking for both of us):

Xena (one of our female black cats): MEW! Mew Mew!

Me (translating Xena): What? There are too many new cats in the house and you don't approve, Xena?

Xena: No. They all need to go. They all suck.

Me: Xena-weena! That's not very hospitable of you.

Xena: I'm not the one who invited them.

Me: Xena-Weena!

Yeah, I've been locked alone in a small house in the country waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long...
