This doesn't really fit anywhere else, so I figured I'd give it its own thread.

My car decided to piss itself with break fluid last Monday when I was leaving Logan's Roadhouse.  When my friend Joe tried to jack up the car the body was so rusted it crumpled, and the front was worse.

I drove a car until it died.  It was a hard car to kill for the most part but it happened.  Now I need to concentrate on finding a new one...

Y'all have no idea how bad I want another hearse.

I totally feel ya there.

I literally drove the front two tires off of the black Toyota Tacoma I used to drive, one year apart from each other.  The AAA rep asked if I was going to keep the vehicle because they ended up towing it both times.  I held on to that little truck because it was full metal.  No fiberglass.  And I love my little Toyota which we named "Anvil".  🤣

By the time I had to get another vehicle (due to the Monchichis getting too big for the back seat), the dealership said the truck was about to fold in halve on itself.  But I wasn't going to get another vehicle unless it was all metal.  I was actually in search of a body shop to extend the truck.  That's how I ended up with the 2006 Toyota Tundra.  I just happened to revisit the same place where I got the Tacoma from to inquire if they knew any places that did body extension work.  They only had 2 Tundras on the lot, one 2006 and one 2009.  I also found out from them that 2006 was the last year Toyota trucks were made out of all metal.

This year alone, I lost rear brakes in May due to deteriorated brake lines.  Then lost front brakes in July for the same reason.  All of which have been repaired, but shed light on a new issue.  The chassis is rusted through on the front driver's side.  The mechanic said I can save it if I can find a welder.  So that and the muffler are the next things that need to be fixed because I just can NOT drive a fiberglass/composite vehicle with peace of mind.

When a 5 Star rating means that you "only" lose 1/5 of your vehicle in a head on collision (as opposed to a few inches) I just can't do it.
