Fierce Critter
I've got my eyes on a couple pairs up for auction on Ebay. I'm wondering how they fit for size. I generally wear an 8-1/2, but lately find myself fitting into a lot of size 8's. Boots have a tendency to be a bit big on me, so I usually end up putting on thick socks, sometimes two pairs with some. I wouldn't get them in a size 8. But I'm wondering how true they are to their numbers? As in, if I generally wear a size 8-1/2, are THEIR size 8-1/2's going to be roomy, requiring extra thick socks, or kinda on the tight side, calling for buying maybe a 1/2 size bigger? Head Wreck
you talking US sized boots or UK? UK boots tend to be a size up from US sizes. got cought out loads on boots b4, and its not the same when you expect brit sizes
Fierce Critter
The ones I'm after are U.K. sizes. Actually a U.K. 6.5, which is supposed to translate to a U.S. 8.5.

Fierce Critter
The ones I want are only available in a U.K. 6.5/U.S. 8.5. I can get a pair in a size 8, but the description says they've got some scratches, and I don't care to pay for scratched boots when I can get a pair of perfect ones. Anyway, thick socks will take care of that. And I put some fleece insoles in a different, too-large pair and it helped a ton. Off to buy those boots!!!
