Hot fucking topic.

I am starting to hate the comercialism in the gothic culture.

Sorry kids....I am an old school punk....Ya hearing me Mark???

We used to go to the Salvation army (I still do!) to get our duds then altered them ourselves.

Why pay for some rich white prep ass hole to go on a cruise to the carribean?

This girl of mine works way too hard for her money to waste on this crap.

50 bucks for a pair of pants.

And that was a deal????

And they have (get this) hand cuffs on either side.

I asked her if they were for ankle and wrist....I want her to be preparred for men's dumb ass comemnts.

And they weigh a ton. She will not be doing extreme sports with me in those fucking things no way.....she will get caught on something and kill herself.

Perhaps your kids are rebelling against your non-mainstreamness? You know, the theory that "if my parents do it, it's not cool."

As long as it's their money, I suppose it's ok. Do they have a savings account or somesuch so not all their cash is wasted on fad-of-the-moment purchases?

The quality of HT is usually low as well. Be better off spending more at Noir Leather than anything else. Or show them how to shop online (wait on second thought don't).

Even better teach them a trade and show them how to make clothing. I know a few tailors and semstresses (sp?) out there.

I have to say i hate hot topic although i do have some stuff from there that was bought for me as gifts.Other than that a thrift store ,safty pins, scissors, a sewing machine, and a little imagination can do wonders on your wardrobe. Also you dont end up looking like a cookie cutter version of your friends wearing the same outfit you just bought at the store.

we have something comercialised round here thats run by the organisers of "south wales's biggest rock night" (where they play the kerrang albums on a programmed sequence each night, same fricken sequence). same low quality comercialised crap.

it doesnt transfer over properly but if you pay $50 for something its worth £50 if i were to get one localy (madness) and i'd begrudgingly part £50 for a pair of boots, let alone trousers.

spose if they were well made i'd pay 30. anything over the cost of a basic pair of brand new army trousers (most expensive pair i own except for 2 pairs of propper lined and reinforced leather trousers) its not worth it. unless its latex or leather

edit: or a pair of star wars stormtrooper trousers

fuck, i never spend more then 20 or so bucks at HT. The most is pent there was 40-something for just one dvd, a cd, and something else i cant remember. Whenever i go to HT i head straight for the clearance, why should i spend 50 of my hard earned dollars on a pair of pants? (keep in mind, i never spend more then $20 on one pair)

Thrift stores and Garage Sales are my Gods!

Actually yes. We make them save half of what they earn to go towards helping buy their first car, which is coming soon.....look our world....

And yes, I think they do it to annoy me. LOL
