Ok, so I am one half of Auralgasms.com. Hopefully you guys have browsed the site before. If not, we are a website that promotes the work of under--appreciated artists, with particular attention to Dreampop. We also have a 24/7 streaming web radio station where you can request music in real-time.

I found this community while doing a search for like-minded folks last week. Auralgasms recently inherited Wednesdays at our favorite club, Luna in Roya

Ok, so I am one half of Auralgasms.com. Hopefully you guys have browsed the site before. If not, we are a website that promotes the work of under--appreciated artists, with particular attention to Dreampop. We also have a 24/7 streaming web radio station where you can request music in real-time.

I found this community while doing a search for like-minded folks last week. Auralgasms recently inherited Wednesdays at our favorite club, Luna in Royal Oak.

On Aural Bliss Wednesdays we spin Dreampop, Britpop, Darkwave, Goth, Industrial...the whole lot.

Last Wednesday was our first and it was awesome...I would absolutely love to have some of you guys come out this week. I really want it to grow into the place to be on Wednesdays.

PLEASE come up to the DJ booth and introudce yourselves, and let me know what you would like to hear.

Can't beat the music or the people there and the $2 cocktails til midnight is a HUGE bonus.

I have dropped off free pass flyers in stores all over Royal Oak and Ferndale.

We will often have giveaways too as the record labels are all over it.

Hope to meet some of you on Wednesday!

In the last few months it seems most of the DGNers wednesday night outings have migrated to Mephistos , basicly due to a few key mephistos people promoting Mephistos heavily with the DGN crowd (and pushing me to go myself , pretty hardcore) as well as the owner of mephistos clearly understanding what DGN can do for a club. Posting weekly "whos going?" type posts help, but also direct one-on-one smoozing is key. (and a lot of work)

Theres plenty of people on here ready and willing to go to luna, they just havent been given the hard-sell by anyone over an extended period of time.

Oh and hi by the way. I assume your a real person outside of Luna and your website, same as me? Haha. Often i tend to end up only talking about DGN and/or peoples "projects". =)

Hey Troy....yes I am DJ Zumby...and i am REAL!

Have you met many of the DGN folks? I imagine they are a good lot.

It seems like a great crowd, and I'd love to tap into that and get some folks to come out to Luna on Weds.

Hopefully, they will like it. It's porb not QUITE as Goth as Mephistos.

We tend to play a lot of Dreampop/Ethereal stuff early on like Sneaker Pimps, Cocteau Twins, Tricky...

Then later in the evening, we try to fill the floor....we bounce between Electronica, Goth/Indfustrial and Indie.

What sort of stuff do you like to hear....what gets you on the floor?

As for personal stuff, Im 34, live in Berkley with the family, and work on Bond Trading Systems during the day....and Auralgasms and Aural Bliss at night....

Keeps me QUITE busy.

Hopefully you can make it out one week, and bring some DGN folk with you...let's start a new tradition!
