08/03/05 Mephisto's Aftermath

I had fun, but I've been overworking myself. I was far too tired last night.

I had fun, but when I woke up this afternoon I was asked if I remember any part of the night. ( I do by the way) oh, and thank you so much for helping me up the stairs last night Rambo, you're a doll.

I got there, relaxed, was going to go on after Tim.

Got a call from Kate and all I heard was a constant stream of crying and I made out the words "car" and "accident" and "exit 52" which is basically all I needed to hear. I told John "I gotta go" and he understood. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get to her (and getting lost) then by the time I got there she was taken to the hospital so I tried to find that. Ended up going to the Blue Cross & Blue shield building in Detroit. That is apparently not a hospital but they gave me proper directions and I got off on Mac (exit 52). As I went by they were shoveling her car off to the side.

Spent two hours in the waiting room and then finally got let through then waited for another 45 minutes with her mom (who showed up like 3 minutes after I went through). Which is crazy because it takes an hour to drive up from Ohio. So at least I knew someone was there to take care of her. Finally got to see her and she was in a neck brace and all. But I knew she was OK and at about that time the bar was closing so I took off back to it to gather my equipment. Said goodbye as the people were leaving and then proceeded to go home and wait till 6 AM (cause I'm up that late anyhow but this time I actually had a reason). She called and said she was on her way home with her mom.

She says she'll be in next week to DJ but I don't know. The most important thing is she's ok.

Thanks go out to TimTiki for covering for me the entire night. Crashsite 68 (Ed) for covering for her the entire night (usually we rotate). Appologies go out to Bobbie since I never got her the name of that song she was talking about (which was When in Rome - The Promise from 1988), Jeremy for not getting him the CD (yet again), and everyone who wanted to do Karaoke (because I'm guessing Tim diddn't since I don't think he knows how to work the unit).

I'm also interested to hear what happened with Crank and that at the end.

Anyhow I hope there is much more fun and way less drama next week. That was scary but at least I now know where the nearest hospital is.

Also I don't know who said it was my birthday yesterday but they were misinformed. Thats why on the birthday event post it says "[09/10]" meaning September 10th :D Even still it was good to see many faces out last night, at least for the time I got to see them.

Sounds like you reallyhad fun last night. DM and I didn't stick around, left about 11:30. We were both tired and had to work the next day. (today)
