Space is a thing in and of itself. It is the absence of.. well, stuff. Space, though the most abundant thing there is, is limited and we are always trying to find more ways to make it. Making space in our busy scheduals, making space in the attic, making space in our life for that special someone. The lsit goes on. Space is and Space is not.

Nice!

Anyone else... Physics has many theories about this, some say that space/time is something but space and time are not seperate entities... some say that it is filled with either.

Space is almost total vacuum - with some dust and things spread around here and there. (Tho we still can't account for 92% or so of the matter in the Universe...at least current calculations say there should be much more stuff lying around than there is...heh.)

There is a great deal of research and theories on Quantum Fields...as all the scientists bandy around formulae to explain acceleration and gravitational pull within the Space Vacuum framework. *i.e. fights about bending gamma, infrared and x-rays...how the hell is this happening?*

(ok, it's been a while since i've exercised this part of my brain, so feel free to correct me if i misspeak...)

space isn't actually nothing, if you buy into superstring, and zero-point energy field theories... even in a "complete" vacuum, particles can pop in and out of existence from nothing more than the fluctuations in the "quantum soup" of the universe.

ugh, my brain hurts :doh - i'll come back to this again later...
