Heated was right.. oi... Is summer over yet???

My original plan to stay home would have been wayyyyy better for my emotional and physical health, but out I went in spite of it. I won't say it was an awful night. The vibe was pretty strange though and the music sucked. (I danced anyways) I had a great time talking to tons of DGNers, especially some newer faces. I hope to run into you guys out again soon!

Hadn't planned on stopping by, but ended up there anyway. I'm satisfied with my choice. It was pretty hot, but not enough to cause my death.

I saw a few DGNers there such as: Troy, Nienna, Medea, Paper Hearts, BS9, MsM, Game of Chance, Marblez, Reaper, CptDeath......and probably some whose names I forget.

Spent most of the time dancing (read: Dan must've drank a lot) and trying to give DGN cards to people......some of whom didn't want them. FINE.

Guest Game of Chance

Went, drank, danced (for a minute), saw...

Troy

Paperhearts

phee

his lovely fiancee and friends from Romania

Marblez

SomeDanGuy

Crank

DarkChylde

Vater and company

BS9 and MsM

Medea

NeptuneBaby

CptDeath

Reaper

was fun...except for the flat tire on the way in. Afterwards, some of us went to Lafayette Coney...where I ran into an old friend. They shafted us on coffee (only one cup). But late night coneys were a good call.

Nothing really outstanding happened, except for I did run into a certain someone who I hadn't seen in a while. That was nice. Wonder if I'll ever see her again.

I had a ricockulous amount of fun last night.

Saw the usual crowd, as well as some new faces, like CptDeath.

Knocked over a whole cup of beer when I tried to walk... and it wasn't alcohol that was making things difficult...

My virgin really enjoyed himself, too. (I think I got him as addicted as I am)

He and I will most likely be making an appearance together next week. Well, me for sure, anyway. :p

Despite being totally exausted and staying out waaaay to late, i had a good time. =)

Somedanguy you are the man.

Game of Chance you are also the man.

Was great to see all of you again, dont have the energy for listing everyone off at the moment but everyone (well all the DGNers anyhow ;D) was very nice as usual. =)

People tease me with threats of helping promote DGN and then dont , last night i actually saw people helping promote the board, which was a nice feeling. Some people actually care about DGN , in public, when they could be doing something else??? yay

It was a blessing to get out among the living again.I am happy for my hubby Vater since he has been wanting to meet up with some DGNers since October! It's unfortunate that we were already way too drunk on really bad beer by the time we met some of you!I did end up making a hasty exit but I can only take heat and intoxifacation in small doses!Anyway we had some fun! Hopefully it won't be another year before we get to do it again!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.
