Vater Araignee
Have you ever noticed people that are so uncomfortable with them selves that their major platform, Jihad, crusade, campaign what have you is constantly dragged from place to place with them? Have you ever noticed that these same people will attempt to put words into your mouth in a vain attempt to make themselves look better? Have you ever noticed that when things are not going their way the start to defend them selves with attacks on your character and statements like "Your calling me a liar!"? Politically speaking these very same people are so far right or far left that they make up a minuscule portion of the population and, don't understand why they drive a person that may have championed their cause away. Socially only people like them and the most forgiving can tolerate them. But the biggest question I have is "Why when you, using fact, prove that they are wrong do they pretend that said information was never presented" even if it has nothing to do with their main cause? Help me understand.
Guest Game of Chance
Life is so much easier now that I've had the part of my brain that makes those types of judgements and/or calculations removed. Lobotomy is bliss.
The_Dark
I would love to help you understand.... but first I would have to understand. I've encountered a few before... recently even... If you present me with proof of concept, so to speak, I'll admit I was wrong and adjust my stance accordingly.. I'm not sure how one can be so self deluded as to think they CANT be wrong. I am probably wrong five times a day and that's a conservative estimate! I just ducked my head back here in the DGN door and I left my soap box in my other skirt! Troy Spiral (13)
People are the way they are due to a long history events and decisions outside of our control. Just dealing with things as they come and trying to stay calm is generally my prefered course of action. Understanding / Tolerance when devloped , have worked well for me. Rarely, does returning "fire with fire" have the desired outcome , usually just causes addtional drama. If worse comes to worse , certian personality types , if it doesnt seem like they are able to be "worked with" i just end up avoiding and/or going to my zen place and trying to let their negativity slide off my back. All, as usual, easier said than done. =)
Steven
one of the most freeing statements I've ever learned to say has been quite simply: "I dont know". then I go try to find out.
Scary Guy
One of my favorite quotes goes "All I know is that I know nothing." Though I forgot who said it first. I'm always right usually, which annoys the piss out of everyone usually. But I'm willing to admit if and when I'm wrong.
