Vater Araignee
To be honest I hate kids at the Renaissance Festival. Why well my kids wine and complain. With them I cant get toasty and sleep it off in the lot. Other peoples kids high pitched voices grate on the nerves of a drunkard. Most important of all........ KIDS DON'T UNDERSTAND 90% OF IT!!!! So lets do ourselves a favor and leave the 10 and under crowed at home. And if your gonna drink don't bring any under 18.
Homicidalheathen
I think they have a day special for kids with more for them to do. I know, I saw some lady dragging her poor tired child around crying....god give the kid a break. I know my feet hurt.

damagedangel
The last time that I went to the ren fest I took my then 2 1/2 year old daughter. Not once did she cry. I know my children's limits, and I'm not one to push them past those limits. Now the parents that just keep on pushing their children because they want to do this and want to that and their children are just plain sick and tired of being there, then yes, those people need to reconsider how much pushing they do with their children. I guess I'll just warn everyone when I take my 4 and 9 year olds. :laughing :grin

LadyWindstone
a lot of nutters in armor HW. SCA has a lot of kids involved with them as well. I don't have any kids but I love shocking the little kids at Ren Fest. Last year i went dressed all in black with a cape and this little boy just slowly looked up at me in awe. I just smiled and went about my business. but that look was priceless.
sglgothmom
my daughter has gone every year until last summer... i just didn't have the money to go but i'm planning on taking her this year. She loves it and has an absolute blast. She never cries at it... it all depends on the child because i know if i took my niece she would be hell on wheels there. i'm with damagedangel and dyno..... it's not the kids it's the parents.
