When your work sucks . . . .

Recommended Posts

By some accident, I was given Christmas Eve and Day off.  However, I have to work New Year's Eve and Day, which blows mightily.

When you're dealt a disappointment at work, how do you deal with it?  Do you rant or rave about it to vent or do you quietly acquiesce?

I quietly acquiesce unless it involves my paycheck. I know that ranting and raving might get me fired for "insubordination" (or at least at my company it did the last time someone else did that).

However, I have voluntarily switched jobs a lot. I have zero company loyalty - a better offer comes along and I'm gone, but I do value my job enough not to complain loudly enough to get me fired.

That really really sucks that you two have to work though :(
