hi everybody i'm new to this gothic site. i am 21 from the east side of detroit. i like to do just about everything as long as it keep me occupied. one of the reasons i joined this site is to meet some gothic people, i don't see many around throughout the day. one day i was downtown & i rode past a gothic club & i seen a lot of beautiful girls going in the club with their black clothes & black make up & that was a huge turn on to me & every since i been interested in goths. i been wanting to go to a goth club but i'm too nervous to actually go in. one reason is cause i am black & i haven't seen any black goths before & i think it will cause a lot of attention on me & i would be uncomfortable. i am hoping that i can meet people on here & go from there. feel free to ask me anything & i will respond to some topics thats posted.

okay, hon, i don't know if you've noticed, but 80+% of the population in detroit is black.  You're gonna run into a couple of em at City Club.  I know a few, and they're all pretty cool.  Don't be afraid.  We won't bite you...hard.

Hello,

There are plenty of of people here on this board who are black and there are many many people at City Club who are black as well. I cna think of one in particular who i have seen there every time i go and he gets out on the dance floor and wows me for sure.

My advice dont go in and feel like the odd ball, you wont be for one and the rest of us are there, we have at one time or another felt like the odd ball in many diffrnet situations so we all can understand where you are comming from and most likley will try to relieve you of that feeling. Weather we all be one color or a mix of colors we are all friendly and welcoming there.

If ya ever do go to city club alone ( located on the second floor of the ramada @ cass n bagley), go to the seating area right next to the bar, sit and introduce your self, some one from DGN will say hi back and you should have a blast.

Welcome aboard the freak train. Get bitten in the caboose. :wink

Yes that is true. There is Pomba Gira! Hey girl. And the bartender/bouncer....I like that guy. Oh and then there is that tall black guy um he walks around checking everyone out...is he undercover security or what??? The last time I was there he like leaned over and looked to see what I was doing... :erm

I took a black guy there but he said the girls were too into each other not him and that the music was too loud and wierd but he makes me listen to allot of rap and stuff I don't like so it was his turn to put up with me, yah know? :nut
