That's the only reasoning that i can see.

If you leave them on the lawn then one of two things will hapeen:

1. they will fertilize the soil and your grss will be stronger and nicer next year.

2. They will blow into your neighbors yard and then you can laugh as you watch them rake them all.

Either way, isn't it better to just leave them (no pun intended)?
