What a crappy Island. So, a couple weeks ago there was a couple coming to the hotel. They were taking their own boat across. We marked them as no shows because they never arrived. Their boat was found ten miles off the island still running with no one in it. They just found the mans body in Lake Huron. They still haven't found the girl. They say he drowned. It happened on August 24 and they just put in the paper on Saturday. How crazy is that.

And, our pool manager Jim, was going down the hill drunk last night on his bike when he hit a tree. There was blood coming out of his ears. He is on a respirator in the hospital right now and he isn't responding to treatment. Jim was the kind of guy that was lewd and always tried to pick up younger girls but he was still a good guy. This little bitch here on the island said to me today that she didn't feel sorry for him and that she hoped he died because "He had lived his life like he was dead". I have never wanted to punch a bitch so bad in my life. How can somebody say that? So what if he was lewd? So what if he wasn't your favorite person? You don't kick someone when they are down like that.

And I guess Starline ferry's are under lawsuit right now because last year there were twelve foot waves and three people flew out of their seats, hit the ceiling, and then two of them fell back on the chairs and broke their backs.

This place is so messed up. Am I next? I can see the headline now. Girl dies in pile of horse shit.

The rumor has started circulating that he has died.  It hasn't been confirmed yet but if he is, I'm going after that bitch that said that shit.

Wishing someone dead is just expressing how much you dislike someone... Nothing more, nothing less. Nothing illegal about it unless a threat is made...

threat.... why does that word seem important right about now... Oh yeah.. you missing my point about Erin making threats that can get her in trouble.

I got your point. I ignored it because I thought what you said missed HER point. I don't condone violence, and don't think Circe should assault the other woman over this, BUT to wish someone dead is a lot more then "expressing how much you dislike someone". The fact that it's legal is a copout. You can express displeasure without wishing ill of someone. THAT is the point.

Okay kids. Stop fighting. I thought you all knew me a little better than that. I'm not gonna stomp a bitch just cause she's stupid, ignorant, and malicious. A, I won't put myself, job, and freedom in jeopardy like that, and B, she's just a stupid bitch, she doesn't know any better. A self proclaimed cutter with suicidal tendencies, estranged from her family, estranged from her "friends", just shouldn't be judging anyone else. That was my point. What right does she have to dole out forgiveness or damnation. I just thought it was pretty damn heartless of her.

We got the official news today. 70% chance that he'll live. That's good news. Still in a coma, still on the respirator, and there is no gaurantee that he won't be getting coloring books for christmas the rest of his life.

It's not even that I'm necissarily not having fun up here. But the crazy shit that goes on in the background that the Grand Hotel doesn't want anybody to know about is....well crazy. I wouldn't even say boycott the island. I just figured that since I'm here I can at least give some of the world the behind the scenes look at the presdigeous jewel of Lake Michigan.

It's still at 70% chance of recovery but only 20% likely that he'll be functional. His family is contemplating pulling the plug. It's pretty sad, but the island is still functioning. The only difference is the Jim Emergency Fund that sits on a table at lunch that nobody puts anything in. But what can you do.

Plus today I got the lovely opportunity to visit the Med Center here on the island. Acute Bronchitis is what they tell me. I feel like shit. I'm just gonna go out back and shoot myself....so then I'll have a gun shot wound and bronchitis. You think I'd get workmans comp for that?

ever hear the term fudgie. fudgies are turists or snow mobilers that go there to waste money on fudge and crap. most locals around that area (not really the island) dislike people considered fudgies because they suck ass. assholes who can afford brand new everything spend lots of money for a weekend of resort time. and don't know left from right apperently. you see there used to those folks and have been tired of there fudgie bullshit since day one. otsego county matto

Well, here's the news. He died. He had no brain patters, which they kept the information from all of us until after he passed. The movement he was making was all involuntary.

They decided to do reconstructive surgery on his cheek, thinking that having a scar would be more devastating than losing his life, he died as a result of the trauma to his system. He had a broken neck and would have been paralysed.

His memorial is here on the island today, we're having a bonfire afterwards because Jim definately would have wanted a party. I think we should make a no riding bikes home rule though, in memory of him. (Not sure if that was a bad joke or an actualy concern.)

Jim was big on sailing and was a very active guy. They are taking his remains down to Florida, well I guess they are already there, and they are spreading his ashes in the ocean today. He would have like that a lot.

On another note, the old people have over run the hotel. First the republicans (unfortunately my cousin was with them, *shudder*, I hid under my desk the whole time) and now these old mean people taking up the whole hotel. Alzheimer city. Wouldn't have so much of a problem if they weren't so damn hornery. Mean crazy old bastards!!! *shakes fist at them*

that wasnt starline that the people got injured on, that was sheplers. i was a porter at the time and was at the dock....but the funniest part was that the ambulance hit the firetruck that was already at the dock, ripping open the storage doors on the firetruck, throwing axes and bolt cutters into the street......one of the best things i saw in my 4 years there.....besides when the arnold cat lost control of its steering and rammed the dock, sending a lady flying off the bench in the waiting line
