unchaste
My friend just called me and wanted to know if I wanted to be his Dungeon Master (no, not that kind of dungeon master). I was kinda interested in hign school, but now I'm wondering, should I lower myself to this new level of dorkieness? Is it fun, or just time consuming? Your thoughts, please. Shade Everdark
Ahem, at the risk of revealing my super ultra-dorkiness to everyone...I will admit that I had been playing in a campaign of a year and a half, and at the close of that compaign, have started my first campaign as a DM. I find it to be a lot of fun, and challenging at the same time. It forces me to use my long-atrophied creativity, and also (especially as a DM) requires me to think on my feet, something which I am not accustomed to doing. And there's a delicoiusly evil sense of power one gets from devising ways of...not killing your party, but coming as close as humanly possible without actually killing them. It's a kind of torture, really.

Scary Guy
Played D&D, Rifts, and a ton of online RPG's that don't count. However I view it as another form of storytelling. If you like stories go for it.

kellygrrrrrl
My friend Patrick plays it, and I always make fun of him for it..... I went a few times with him it looked really boring. I never played it so I can't say. DORKY! Nerdy geeky...... Uhhh that's NOT a bad thing......I LOVE GEEKS
the eternal
Its not dorky....my freinds all do it and if I wasn't so busy I would join them Ummmm. First of all, it IS dorky. Secondly, it shouldnt stop you from doing it. Try it out. See what you think. Just don't try to get anyone to bed with a 10-sided die. (On second thought, that might work a little better for hot women than dorky men)
the eternal
OOOOh. That reminds me. MY friend just told me she was the keymaster and wanted to know if I was the gatekeeper. Does that count for anything?

Paper Hearts
and i'm working with not enough diesel money to go to it anyway (£0.95 a litre, £4.28 a gallon, $7.87 a gallon), or at least i wont untill payment cheques for obbles clear <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Factor in that your vehicles burn fuel more efficiently and also that your fuel is higher octane. Might as well call it $7 per gallon. We're at about $3.00/gallon right now.
Killer_Bunnie
hehe, I'd do it, most of the people I know from here play games, I love geeky stuff, I paint minis, I play a game that most people don't, and I'd do rpg's if I lived near a group. have fun, who cares what people who don't know you think? we here obviuosly think it's a great thing to do! Head Wreck
oh minatures... heh remember i wiped smile of Games Workshop HQ staff at a game when they just released this uber tank they were pushing as the next hot thing in the game (the land raider re-release) so on a huge table, on front of HQ staff, and customers... this (well two of them), which worked out at half the balance points of thier tanks kept every one of them in thier deployment zone, no matter how many times they put them back on (about 7 tanks, 9 times respawned.) each of these cost me £40 in kits to make. Head Wreck
my own creation Mikhov armoured vehicle. leman russ vanquisher without a turret (so skimp save on points cost) and added pinatle mount twin linked storm bolter (for city fight, enclosed due to deathworld troops) and transport for 5 imp storm troopers i gotto take photos of the setup soon. steel legion troops used (looked like post apocalyptic soviet style). to wett appetite: as to DM'ing a game tbh i'd play a round or two to get the feel of role play before DM'ing your own campaign
