Selling my Dr. Marten's 20 eye Boots

I've decided these boots just don't "do it" for me. I've only worn them once, so they're in great condition. Original box included.

I originally purchased them from the discount Grapevine Hill Website. I paid their $73.50, and I think shipping was free. I'm asking $70.

They're a U.S. women's 8.5. They fit an 8.5 well. They're looser at the ankle than I care for, though I'm told that's how they're supposed to fit.

I'm plus-sized, and I can still lace these all the way up with no leg showing on either side of the tongue at the top. Whether or not you can, too depends on the size of your calf. If you want to PM me with the measurement of your calf at it's largest point to see if they'll fit comparable to how they did for me, feel free.

I can bring them to you at CC some Saturday, or meet you in-between cities if necessary - I'm in Wyandotte.

OMG!!

:woot:

Will these fit a 9?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

If you're serious, I can direct you how to take measurements of your foot itself to determine that.

I'd have to put them on again, but I believe they are roomy as far as width. Not sure about length on a larger size, though.

Best way to measure the exact length of your foot: get a helper (Wayne). Stand straight up tall, with your foot on a piece of paper. Have Wayne put a straightedge perpendicular to the floor flat against your heel - mark the paper at that point. Have Wayne then put a mark right where your longest toe ends - on me, that'd be the first toe next to my big toe.

Measure the length between the marks. I'll compare that with the same measurement on my feet to let you know if they might fit. =)

Alrighty. You're going to have to decide for yourself based on the following (and I'd gladly take a check and hold it until Friday if you want to mail one - I'd have to weigh a properly packed box to get you a priority quote, and I'd take it to the post office Friday so you'd have it by probably no later than Wednesday):

My foot is 9-1/2" long measured the same way I described to you, give or take 1/8".

With my foot in the boot with NO socks whatsoever, I have SOME clearance between the tip of my longest toe and the toecap of the boot. It felt like about 1/2". That's with my heel pressed as far back as possible. They might work, but you wouldn't be able to wear more than thin stockings or tights. Up to you to decide if that'd work for you, or if your toesies would be cramped.

Of course, you could always get that new cosmetic surgery women are getting - resizing that particular toe by lopping off part of it...:doh

As far as width, my foot is average width, and there is a lot of clearance on the sides from the ball of the foot back and from the ball forward. At the ball, my foot fit pretty much comfortably, not tight but with enough room to spare for thin socks.

Up to you - I'd be glad to work with you if you want them. If not, no problemo! =)
